and that’s why if you feel especially
Empire should be number one same with
Back to the Future and then we have my
two of my favorite new
movies ex machina and arrival I
particularly like like real sci-fi we’re
like there’s not not a lot of space
magic
although Star Wars kind of has about but
it’s not gonna end on arrival they’re
really good excessive explorations of
how science and humans and you know
nonhumans can interact in action I can i
there’s robots I need enjoyable dirty
aliens and then Terminator again it’s a
bit more of space magic even hard sci-fi
but then again itself it’s a matter of
and then the rest are interesting GM
doesn’t talk about the bottom of his
list theft isn’t a go at the top
presentation we just love these are
movies that sparked a lot of
conversation out there oh yeah what do
you think about about these lists is the
one that you’ve gravitated more towards
the other I’m really conflicted about
the two of them to be honest I don’t I
don’t I mean off the top of my head I
find Stephanie’s list honestly appeals
to me more I do like the top you know

really care about which is like really

you know since WatchMojo will count it
down children and men I thought was a
very it’s a modern example of a really
good sci-fi it’s something that can
actually happen you know in the near
future it’s a pretty scary thought but
the way that they deal with it and you
know they it shows the way that humanity
could be affected by a problem such as
infertility so I thought that it has
that those amazing don’t that one shot
there even in the in the car when they
get shot I won’t spoil that but anyways
I’m sure you guys know what I’m talking
about
so and we’re not gonna have the a of the
Day the Earth Stood Still which it’s a
classic it’s a black and one of black
and white movie which I thought it’s
important to have a mix of the modern
and the classic and of course the really
famous expression Klaatu Barada nikto is
a matte so God put that on their
inception going back to modern time

course it was animated so it was
beautifully a beautiful sci-fi that was
my personal take you to the classic
aliens of course Ellen Ripley and it’s a
you know like female strong character in
sci-fi and she’s not many so anyone not

list has a certain respect for the
classics while also acknowledging the
fact that new movies can also become
classics in the future with time and
that’s why that’s like we have Star Wars
at number one because Star Wars is just
a phenomenon it’s just beyond the movie
and that’s why if you feel especially
Empire should be number one same with
Back to the Future and then we have my
two of my favorite new
movies ex machina and arrival I
particularly like like real sci-fi we’re
like there’s not not a lot of space
magic
although Star Wars kind of has about but
it’s not gonna end on arrival they’re
really good excessive explorations of
how science and humans and you know
nonhumans can interact in action I can i
there’s robots I need enjoyable dirty
aliens and then Terminator again it’s a
bit more of space magic even hard sci-fi
but then again itself it’s a matter of
and then the rest are interesting GM
doesn’t talk about the bottom of his
list theft isn’t a go at the top
presentation we just love these are
movies that sparked a lot of
conversation out there oh yeah what do
you think about about these lists is the
one that you’ve gravitated more towards
the other I’m really conflicted about
the two of them to be honest I don’t I
don’t I mean off the top of my head I
find Stephanie’s list honestly appeals
to me more I do like the top you know
the top five picks that you have but
like truthfully the bottom five I don’t
really care about which is like really
harsh but it’s how I feel whereas like
gems list I don’t love it but like you
have some my favorites on there like
you’ve got Jurassic Park there’s Back to
the Future there’s I mean Star Wars like
you said it right it’s beyond a film so
I feel so like heartbroken I want to
like put their lists together
are there any rankings up here that you
feel are wrong like that is way too low
oh yeah for sure for me to Resik Park I
mean I know it’s not it’s not Star Wars
and not Back to the Future but like it
just changed the game to me when it
comes to film and like how people
reacted and saw dinosaurs for the first
time like it was such a huge event so
for it to be at six condom breaks my
heart and I guess on Stephanie’s list I
probably say aliens I it’s it’s PI I
mean I don’t know what to say is that
too low too hot it’s so low to me like

also favorite sci-fi movie so I am
biased but I think it just did so much
for science fiction and like female
protagonist and horror that like to put
it at five kind of hurts Planet of the
Apes did a lot for chimpanzees though oh

traction this year yeah

places is non-negotiable and as I tell a
lot of people who message me on Facebook
about why we put certain there are only
10 spots on these lists we have to make
some sacrifices okay
that’s right Steph aliens I like I guess
my foot I don’t know how much more I
would have moved it like I think maybe
three or four and usually like the way
that well WatchMojo and me for our list
we’re like the top five at least those
are the you know the important the
important places really the ones that we
really carefully choose but I do
understand of course like I mentioned
when I was giving the pitch like Alan
read playing the character and
everything and but Planet of the Apes is
which I watched again recently I just
liked it just had so many amazing lines

you know like the way that the Apes the
way we tree that you know like the way
we the way the humans are treated by the
Apes which is just this huge metaphor
for it’s like still relevant today and
it’s like this huge franchise right is
it relevant interesting interesting I
hadn’t I hadn’t anticipated that she
hinged that argument on social relevance
