they are attractive and for the boys of
their neighbourhood they’re highly
sought after sweethearts her hands are

when they visit the Lisbon house and
find all of the girls in various states
of suicide their mysterious nature is
canceled out by misery but the variety
of death and the loneliness of it is
clear this is one haunting movie moment
most likely Bonnie had died while we
were waiting the living room screaming a
highway Mary put her head in the oven
shortly thereafter Therese stuffed with
sleeping pills was gone by the time we
got there Lux was the last to go
I have trouble sleeping at night I have
bad dreams like I’m falling number seven
Brooks Hatlen the Shawshank Redemption I
can’t take care of you no more Jake you
go on no you’re pretty though this movie
has two notable suicides we’re paying
our condolences to Brooks over the
warden because he took the coward’s way
out
Brooks death scene on the other hand is
heartbreaking from start to finish the
old man says goodbye to his pet shakes
the officers hands then heads out into a
world where he doesn’t belong dear
fellows I can’t believe how fast things
move on the outside we hope our worst
suspicions don’t turn out to be true but
they do he hangs himself from the beam
on which he carved his last message it’s
shocking and seriously sad
number six young Jo looper then I saw it
I saw a mom who would die for her son an
atmospheric scene in which the younger
Joe sees his older self man who would
kill for his wife the sound of the train
mimics the beating of our hearts Jo
pieces the jigsaw together and then we
see it just as he does her boy angry and
alone laid out in front of him the bad
path I saw his life as a circle and he
needs to break it and a shotgun wound
does the job quite effectively Bruce
Willis is confused his face reads like a
lifetime never led but it all makes
sense to us and it’s a standout scene
number five Ben Sanderson leaving Las
Vegas I came here to
trade myself to death our next cinematic
suicide is particularly drawn-out Ben
Sanderson is an unrelenting alcoholic
and never wants to be anything else why
are you killing yourself and after
losing his family and his job he drinks
with only one direction in mind his own
death

lieutenant Ellen Ripley’s life was an
eventful one she had the uncanny ability
to survive alien massacre after alien

she realizes her time is up
the Queen must die to save humanity and
she must be killed in the process
Ripley slow motion fall into her molten
resting place is both emotional and epic
but it wouldn’t be complete without a
chest bursting alien to seal her fate
number three Romeo and Juliet Romeo o
Romeo wherefore out thou Romeo
the majority of us are aware of how this
Shakespearean tale unfolds even before
we press the play button I just use
stars but in Baz Luhrmann’s 1996
adaptation the double death scene is as
powerful as it’s ever been well Juliet I
will laugh with you tonight as Romeo
drinks from the vial we’re still hoping
that Juliet will wake up in time to save
her love and she almost does almost that
split-second where the two star-crossed
lovers lock eyes before their inevitable
demise is tragedy of the highest order
and a timeless tale for the ages

private Pyle out of his funk after

why is private Pyle holding that weapon
