counter-strike maps before we begin we
publish new videos every day so be sure
to subscribe for more great content for
this list we’re looking at the most
iconic memorable and replayable maps and
counterstrikes history we’re not judging
these maps based on how popular they are
in competitive play but rather how
important they are in the history of the
whole counter-strike franchise number 10
aztec imagine counter-strike is intense
enough on its own but taking the game to
an ancient temple grounds as if in-game
chat wasn’t enough blasphemy for you
between the narrow corridors slightly
open doors and wide area located on the
lower level of the map Aztec forces
players to be ready for almost anything
things are always tense when the teams
meet on that bridge bestest you’re clear
of the choke points and try to focus on
the objectives if you can number 9
office
man dream of turning your workplace into
a nerf war has finally come true
well if nerf guns were real guns which
actually wouldn’t be fun in real life
forget we said it office is a pretty
small map with narrow hallways and tiny
open spaces that keep the fight up close
and personal with it’s claustrophobic
lay out the map forces players to always
expect the unexpected
one minute you’re chasing an enemy
player and the next the same enemy has
flanked you it may not be used in
competition anymore but it’s still a
blast to play and no I don’t care how
many times you’ve seen speed don’t shoot
the hostage number eight dust of a
grandfather of one of the most popular
maps in counter-strike history while it
was around
dust was a nice change of pace from
urban and industrial environments most
maps were based around its decent size
helped games move along quickly and the
choke points led to some pretty intense
shootouts until someone gets sneaky and
tries to go around of course you gotta
respect dust as it’s an important piece
of Counter Strike history even if there
are some questions on whether or not
it’s actually balanced enough for both
teams
number seven train
don’t let this map put you off
we know this map is really weird and it
can be difficult to get a hold of it
first but you’ll learn it over time
train is one of those maps that requires
a lot of memorization due to its layout
but this will become useful in times
when you’re getting chased
there’s tons of corners where you can
lose your opponent and if you’re a
gambler you can ambush them as soon as
they make a turn of course you can
always take the cheesiest advantage on
this map which is hiding underneath
those freight cars number 6 cache
there’s no time to rest on cash it might
be simple in structure but the areas are
small enough to turn anywhere into
basically a war zone the placement of
some of the objects allows for some
tricky platforming excuse me I mean
parkour
aside from literally standing on street
lights endorsed cash manages to keep you
on your toes in other ways elbows and
compact corridors enforce direct
confrontation for pretty much the whole
match the first few times you see an
enemy you probably jump a little because
they’re very close eventually becomes a
game of shoot anything that moves but
hopefully you won’t have friendly fire
on
number-5 overpass that barrels I want to
lower or please okay yeah so this Maps
pretty quirky overpass has an odd layout
comprising of tunnels bite-sized open
areas and hiding areas that feel kind of
at a place all underneath the bridge of
a highway unlike some of our other
entries though the maps large size helps
to prevent the feeling of being
overwhelmed you’ll most likely engage
with one maybe two opponents but every
turn you make will have some risks what
if you come across the whole enemy team
while you’re going off by yourself
word of advice don’t go off by yourself
dummy he’s long here now he’s still
there number four inferno
communication is key to achieving
victory here danger lurks around pretty
much every corner like literally
considering that Inferno is littered
with opportunities for teams to set up
ambushes against each other as you
traverse through tight passages you’ll
be constantly trying to check every
opening before proceeding with your
course inferno is amazing to look at
when there aren’t dead bodies and blood
splatters everywhere that is hey at
least if you die early you can check out
those visuals consequence-free in
spectator mode
number three Mirage this map has perhaps
the most intricate layout on our list
just looking at an overview makes it
look like a giant maze you have
entrances for nearly every section
making teams circulate and rotate around
the maps structure Mirage is also a good
map for sniping long passages have good
vantage points for your offers to help
from a distance without having too many
obstacles in the way these lengthy
pathways can also be cleared pretty
quickly if you know where to throw your
grenades and effectively use them for
ambushes number two nuke open areas
that’s not good new P can be one tricky
devil of a map despite holding main e
hiding spots it’s moving in between
these spots that puts you at a greater
risk
you’ll never know who might be peeping
from a window or if an enemy player
might be at close range you’re gonna be
forced to make a lot of split-second
decisions just hope you’re not playing
in one of those glitched out versions
where people can get up on the roof then
you’re in real trouble
before we unveil our topic here are a
few honorable mentions
[Applause]
number one dust2
simple in its design but very fun to
play dust2 surpasses its older brother
by miles for being easy to learn yet
very difficult to master its diverse
layout offers all sorts of advantages
for different playstyles you got
passages for snipers narrow hallways for
those who want closer action and hiding
spots for those who want to set up camp
it’s a blend of almost everything that
makes us so great if you’ve only played
counter-strike once chances are this is
the map you played and while it might
not be the most popular map anymore its
legacy is what secures it at the number
one spot do you agree with our picks
