Review of Xbox 360 – Connections

now when it comes to connections the
xbox 360 did a very good job of covering
the gauntlet you have your standard sort
of RCA connections which is your red
white and yellow to your television but
that’s not going to give you the
high-definition experience that you’re
going to want to get out of the system
now if you buy the premium package it
does come with both the RCA connections
as well as the component connections now
having component allows you to
appreciate the high-definition content
out of the system and believe me the
xbox 360 is really dulled when it’s not
experienced in high definition so really
you’re going to want to take advantage
of that another way of connecting your
xbox 360 is by using the s-video
connection now RCA and s video
connections are both analog connections
but the s-video connection is a slightly
higher quality connection than your
regular RCA red white and yellow
connections another way you can connect
this system is using the VGA or the DVI
converter so you can connect this your
computer monitor and actually get high
definition output onto your computer
monitor as well now in terms of
supported resolutions the xbox 360 can
support for ati signal which is your
standard definition TV signal and it’ll
do that through the component a
connection but you don’t want to do that
it’ll also do that through the RCA and
the s-video connections it also supports
for ATP which is your standard DVD movie
resolution and for that you’re going to
need to use the component connections
are above and from there it also
supports all of your high-definition
formats from 720p to 1080i and recently
announced at the Tokyo Game Show this
baby is also going to be supporting
1080p one of the touted features of the
PlayStation 3 what looks like these guys
have gotten that under the bag as well
