Review of Xbox 360 – Processors and Memory

now it wouldn’t be fair to talk about
the xbox 360 is a next-generation
console without talking about some of
the next generation graphics this thing
that offers now i’m going to rewind a
little bit here just to put something in
perspective if you consider the original
xbox it ran off of a 733 megahert mobile
celeron processor and the system had 64
megs of ram now anyone who’s played the
original Xbox knows that of the three
you know systems in that generation he
was the most powerful graphically it
could do games from doom to half-life 2
to 2 halo to fast-forward to the xbox
360 and what this bad boy has under the
hood is a 3.2 gigahertz powerpc
processor now if you consider that the
original xbox at a 733 Megara processor
to go to a 3.2 gigahertz processor is
quite a leap in terms of graphics but it
doesn’t stop right there this doesn’t
have one but this has three three point
two gigahertz powerpc processors in here
as well as that the system is 512 Meg’s
of system memory 256 of that is devoted
to graphics card and the other 256 is
devoted to the system memory so if you
take into account essentially the
exponential leap in graphics and just
system power that this offers it’s
really you know the sky’s the limit when
it comes to actually developing games
for the system
