looking at the top 10 NC double-a
basketball programs of all time is a
little different than looking at like
the best teams with best players here
we’re looking at the school the
organization how well they’ve done year
after year and then we’ve got a few
guidelines for our list we want it to
look at teams that are obviously someone
most successful over the last 50 or 60
years other than that we also want to
look at what players what NB players
have came out of an NCAA team also what
are the fans like some stadiums are
known for having crazy fans crazier than
other places so those are just some of
the criteria will be looking at for our
top 10 NCAA basketball programs here we
go number 10 on our list is maryland
this is a school that always hasn’t been
the strongest but they’re playing in one
of the toughest conferences with other
teams like Duke and North Carolina in
the Atlantic Coast Conference but since
the mid-90s they’ve really picked up
their games they’ve made 11 consecutive
tournament appearances dating from 1990
3 2 2004 they made eight consecutive
seasons with 20 or more wins from
nineteen ninety six to two thousand four
in 2002 the year that they won the
national championship their only 11
ditton was named most outstanding player
in the tournament and 1995 joe smith won
the Naismith College Player of the Year
