Men With Mojo Video Profile on James Dean: #34

James Dean showed himself for a badass
and started exuding mojo and he beat out
the sissy Paul Newman for the lead role
in East of Eden it was a role he took
really personally because of the
father-son dynamic and ultimately got
his career going brought his career to
the top though was his talent for improv
a lot of the scenes that Dean is most
famous for our from his own creation but
the funny thing is he never let the
success get to his head he was rumored
to always drive by the premier’s to his
movies and stare in amazement at all the
people that were coming out and lining
up just to catch a glimpse of him most
famous for his role in rebel without a
cause he captured the disenchantment of
the entire teenaged post-war generation
in fact it was a role that subsequent
generations have continued to model
themselves after and it was definitely a
precursor to the rock and roll rebellion
phenomenon his death of a young age
turned him into one of the first cult
figures and pop icons but not
undeserving Lee after all he was the
first person to be nominated for an
Academy Award after his death so there’s
a lot of reasons why game deserves to be
remembered for his mojo after all he
started out by embarrassing Paul Newman
and you have to respect that but it goes
further than that a lot of the scenes
that he’s most well known for are from
his own creation they didn’t belong to
the directors of the writers but better
still which complements his charming
shyness is that he never let it get to
his head he was always humbled and
always flattered and embarrassed by the
way people loved and adored him but
above all he embodied the idea of living
fast and dying young and his memory
continues to haunt our vision of the
American dream
