icon bill moseley takes us behind the
scenes of repo the genetic opera time
bill moseley and I play Luigi Largo I’m
the smartest and the top how did you get
involved in this project I was involved
with a producer named Joe majestic eight
or nine years ago one night Joe called
up and said I want to take you to this
show so he took me to a storefront on
Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles
little did I know that that was the
early incarnation of repo directed by
Darren bausman I’d never met him until
he was a couple of years ago in San Jose
I was there for a fangoria convention
and Darren was a guest as well I was on
one side of the partition talking about
my movies and Darren was on the other
side of the partition talking about saw
and then saying in response to what are
you doing next he said well yes I want
to do this movie repo and he could hear
through the partition I could hear him
describing it I went holy smokes that’s
the show I saw in LA I asked him about
it he said yeah that was it and that was
me directing it and we’re gonna make a
movie of it nigh said well that sounds
fantastic what is your musical
background when I was in high school I
was in the choir I also was in a band
called corn bugs with guitar playing and
bucket hat one of the greatest guitar
players in the world and then I guess
for about the last 14 years I’ve taken
singing lessons but really more for my
acting voice
like I’ve you know taking your voice to
the gym what they singing while killing
people a new terror tale experience for
you I’m more of an intuitive than a
technical actor and so to be told okay
turn off your shirt you spin three times
you step left step right and you’ve
stabbed and you pull back then you spin
again I mean that was just kind of weird
you know once you’ve done the work and
once you are comfortable then it ends up
being even more fun
