How to Make Eggnog

there are a few sure signs that
Christmas is on its way
one is the arrival of eggnog hi I’m
Rebecca Brayton and welcome to
watchmojo.com and today we’ll be making
this Christmas treat here are the
ingredients you’ll need for a batch of
eggnog that should serve about 8 people
12 eggs 6 cups of milk 2 cups of heavy
or thickened cream 2 cups of bourbon 1
and a half cups of sugar 3/4 cups of
brandy and finally 2 teaspoons of ground
nutmeg first step separate the eggs and
make sure to keep both the yolk and the
whites
in a large bowl beat together the yolks
and the sugar until the mixture is firm
and about the color of butter which
should take about 10 minutes
now add the bourbon and brandy very
slowly only a little at a time
once the alcohol has been mixed in you
can leave it to cool in the fridge for
up to six hours in a separate bowl beat
the cream on high speed until it forms
stiff peaks
now and yet another bowl beat the egg
whites until they form stiff peaks
about a half an hour before you’re going
to serve the nog add the milk to the
chilled oak mixture now add about a
teaspoon and a half of the nutmeg gently
fold the egg white mixture into the egg
yolk mixture
now gently fold the cream into the egg
mixture
to serve ladle into mugs and sprinkle
with a dash of nutmeg some eggnog
recipes call for the mixture to be aged
for up to a year but if you just can’t
wait
serve this one up in your next holiday
gathering and you’re sure to have people
coming back for more
