Conceptual Artist Profile: Andrew Jones – Work and Influence

hello again everyone this is Chris with
watchmojo.com now during my interview
with the artist Andrew Jones he had a
lot of really interesting things to say
conceptual artists really are the
modern-day storytellers something that
stood out in my mind was the idea that
society as a whole right now is going
through a sort of shift political shift
economic shift shifts in consciousness
all these different shifts are happening
you know we it’s at a very exciting and
prolific time to be around and much of
his work is influenced by the tremors
and vibrations being caused by that ship
I believe there’s a lot of hope I
believe the people that I’m speaking to
are part of the visionaries and have the
potential to be the revolutionaries that
the world needs right now we do discuss
a lot of technology in video games on
our site it is very interesting to meet
it to know that games have expanded to
the point now where we can really look
to people like you not so much the
engineers the technicians to come up
with the look and the feeling of things
what differentiates in your mind trying
to sort of infuse a video game with a
conceptual structure as an artist I felt
there was much more opportunity to
create a universe to create all these
characters to create environments as a
two-dimensional artist I’ve I felt
there’s the opportunity to take on much
more visual responsibility if you look
at conceptual artists it’s easy to see
it from where we are right now it’s like
oh this is a cool job and this is a
great opportunity and I can support
myself with art I’d like to think that
in the future when we look back at this
conceptual art I think it is going to be
in a sense of movement
