Conceptual Artist Profile: Andrew Jones – Motivations

now in my interview with Andruw Jones he
shared a lot of what he felt motivated
him as a human being and as an artist
what excites me so much about digital
art is it is the medium I create these
things in our brains interpret them as
images but the medium I’m using its
light and energy I mean how much pure
the source can you get it’s a very raw
and very unhindered interaction in
perception when I make a digital piece
it’s gallery is inside of your head that
transfer about light energy that turns
into light energy in your imagination
that’s it’s true resting place for me
that’s where I’m concerned and that’s
where things like the internet are so
powerful I’m able to create a piece of
art four o’clock in the morning and i
can upload it the internet and i can put
it on a website like concept artwork and
this image can disseminate into
literally hundreds thousands of people’s
minds that’s the power that we have
right now i’ll put that up against any
oil painting about how romantic you
think that is or how real an oil
painting is yeah it’s really real and
the real experience is that odds are not
a lot of people are going to be able to
really experience this oil painting but
I can get hundreds of thousands people
to experience one of these works
digitally I’m working from a place of
bliss from celebration and from love
it’s not just whoo whoo rainbows and
unicorns but you know seriously if I can
put that into my work and someone can
see that and resonate with it it’s
something
