[Be free]
(Applause)
I’m going to love telling you my life story.
I love an audience.
(Cheering) (Applause)
I’m very lucky to have a family that knew how to prepare me,
like my mother, my father, my wonderful siblings,
and my grandmother Maria Cristina.
Wow! The passion of my life!
(Chuckles)
She’s a special person, she has the gift of making people happy.
She has always motivated me and given me wings to my imagination.
She’d commemorate her birthday for all the grandchildren,
and it was a lot of fun
because she’d call in a clown, a magician.
I was a very happy child.
The years passed,
I grew up and became the administrator of my grandmother’s house.
And now I give to her all types of limits,
because she believes in everyone.
(Laughter)
While I was growing up,
I always received encouragement from my parents, and my grandmother Leni.
And I have always faced difficulties like:
walking, horse riding, riding a bike.
I know how to drive a car on the farm.
I know how to drive a motorcycle on the farm.
And there were other difficulties which I faced at school.
One event happened in school.
I was a cashier at the school canteen.
And you know how difficult administering money is, right?
(Laughter)
In order to give me a direction in my life
and to work independently and with something more elaborate.
I worked for a company called Light, which takes care of the electricity,
on the administrative side of the company.
I was in the communication area,
in the medical care area,
and in the information technology.
Soon after, I joined another company,
called COI – Integrated Oncology Clinic.
It’s a cancer clinic, where people treat the disease.
I was also in the administrative area.
I was in the human resources area and the logistics area.
I also managed the company.
I’d make notes on Word, make spreadsheets on Excel,
send emails to people who worked with me.
Look, I’ll tell you, I’ve been through some things in my life.
(Laughter)
I’ve never been through many situations of prejudice.
The one I remember most was in 2014, when I went to apply for my passport.
The police officer implied
that I shouldn’t be applying for a passport.
I spoke firmly to her,
but I couldn’t be rude, otherwise I’d be arrested, right?
But she saw that I was being firm when I said that I was independent,
that I was of legal age.
My mother knew I was there because it was she who’d scheduled it.
And she ended up letting me get my passport.
I thanked God and went home.
And now, I’m going to tell you what my acting career is like.
It’s so cool, I’m proud to say
that I was the main character in a play
called “#broncadequê?”
I presented it at the Gávea shopping mall,
in Rio, a year ago,
and I toured Brazil with it.
I went to Belo Horizonte, near here in Campinas,
Brasilia, and here in São Paulo.
I took part in five plays in the “O Tablado” theater,
one of the best theater schools.
And there I met a teacher called Ariele Rocha,
and I fell in love with dance.
I went after my dreams and I fought for them.
If you have a dream,
make it happen, fight for it.
If you don’t have a dream, invent one, create one.
Many, many thanks …
and be free!
(Applause) (Cheering)
