902 anno did something that was
brand-new and that was focus on
teenagers we were able to actually deal
with subjects that teenagers were going
through and then we did a we did a trait
we did aids scares we did losing your
virginity we did so many actual topics
and that that teenagers were going
through and yet and we did it in such a
sort of class a good way that parents
felt really comfortable having their
kids watch the show and and it was a
show that they could watch with their
kids in it and I hope and I’ve heard
from many of my fans that it opened up a
dialogue between them and their parents
and they were able to be more open about
what they were going through and issues
that they were dealing with and I think
that that’s why 90210 was just became so
huge is is that we were very honest
about the topics that that we dealt with
identified with Brenda Walsh in the
beginning of 90210 because she was a
fish out of water and she was coming
from Minnesota into this very luxurious
lifestyle of Beverly Hills and
everything that went with it and the
girls with the nose jobs and the BMWs
and and and that whole thing and she was
not that she was
she was just a girl from Minnesota who
that the coolest thing that she wore was
something that she actually made herself
and her parents didn’t have all that
money they didn’t have the capability of
buying her BMW or anything else and and
I was raised very much the same way I
turned 18 during the pilot and I think
it was very easy for me to be and that
mindset because I was fairly sheltered
and I hadn’t even really had a boyfriend
at that point in time so in a way it was
great because I got to go to high school
on 9:02 a know during 90210 I definitely
felt a lot of pressure and I think my
way to deal with the pressure was to go
out and have a great time I remember
going to a place called the Roxbury with
Brian Austin Green Tori Spelling and
Mark Wahlberg and just rear old that
place you know that was that was our
joint and and we had quite a lot of fun
nights and hard to wake up the next day
to go to work but we did it because we
were young
