this is a covered crevasse you can see
on this side right here is the ice that
is the snow has started the crevasse you
have the crunchy sound on it you see
right over here there’s a hole in it Big
Blue Heaven down there for the big blue
hell we got over it but two does of
these today not small like this blood
bigger like two-lane highways but looks
of it got some more up front
that’s the morning of day two of travel
and uh the goings going to get a little
tough fortunately yesterday my nose
throat on my mask a little too long it
froze the end of it got a little
frostbite but it’s only skin level so
I’m not really worried about it but I
really want to keep care of it keep an
eye on it and let’s see what we do with
day number two I’m losing my mind I’m
losing it out here God dang why do we do
this ask me why we do this you know why
because we’re out of our heads the first
five days are always the hardest just
trying to get out of that city mode and
into into this mode and now nothing goes
right out here ever it never goes right
but it’s how you answer the problems
right okay so I’m feeling better I just
need to feel that my you know my
thoughts go alright so let’s cross this
crevasse field let’s not drop in one
let’s not drop in one and it’s clear out
of this area as fast as we can it does
worry me that he’s on foot instead of
skis because of the crevices and because
of the depth of the snow crevasse is if
you have a ski you have more leeway 200
song pound man with all that gear
crashing through the snow up until his
thighs like with one step you know
there’s injury it’s gotta hurt
I completely perused both knees my
thighs coming down that into a couple
crusts just slammed on my stomach
