doing techniques and training people
techniques of how to close sales and how
to work within and begin to control the

let me share something with you you can
learn all the techniques in the world if
you don’t believe in yourself
it won’t happen for you I learn all of
it so that’s what I do a training call
focus on the seller you’ve got to focus
on you and as you convince you as you
sell yourself every day every day every
day you will begin to see a difference
in the things that you’re doing selling
yourself on your ability to perform a
job to achieve a certain objective
telling yourself everyday hair go again
and I got what it takes this is my day
and nothing out here is going to stop me
you take money out of the equation and
then his brother of billionaires two of
the hardest-working guys that I’ve ever
met you know class billion we got into
this thing because we’re very passionate
about the sport we didn’t get into
believing when we got into this sport
these guys were people oh their peers
we’re laughing at them
ya know said this was the stupidest
investment they’d ever made they’re
losing tons of money the hope the UFC
was a joke and believe me we we went
through a lot of ridicule and everything
else we first bought this thing and now
that it’s turned around everybody thinks
it’s the greatest thing in the world
they wish they’re a part of it we didn’t
buy this because we thought that it was
gonna be you know oh you’re gonna make
billions of dollars of we believed in
the sport and the athletes and we
believed that this could be a global
franchise that this thing could be built
into what we’re building it into now and
you know every day when we get up we
know what the prize is we know what the
goal is we want the UFC we want to put
on an event everywhere in every city in
every country all over this planet and
make
the biggest sport one being most of you
lack the skills cell your vision with
clarity because you don’t practice and
and the travesty really is is because
you don’t believe enough in it you just
don’t and if what you’re trying to
finance isn’t your dream isn’t your
vision I mean the banker or the person
on the other side of the table sees to
it clearly they know just absolutely
definitively because at the end of the
day they want to feel down deep inside
warm and fuzzy that this person or this
person will do whatever it takes to pay
me back the money and if you don’t
believe with all your heart then you’re
not going to you know go that extra mile
that’s what they want to believe and
most of you don’t believe passionately
and what you’re doing and that’s why
it’s very easy for me to say you ought
to turn the damn key just walk away and
look for something that you can
passionately believe in is that so
difficult wherever I try and do I do
from from my point of view is do I
believe in it yes I don’t do things for
money and I’ve been broke most of my
life so because of that I can’t sort of
suddenly go I need to do a job just to
get some cash you know I mean I know
that a lot of times is people’s
motivations because people need to eat
but in my position I’ve been poor most
of my life so now I don’t really do
things based on money to do things on on
authenticity of how I feel the most
important thing is it is this right here
you must have to start with the belief
that you can do to stop it
I mean when you set out to go to the
moon some egghead had you believe that
we can build this goddamn rocket so if
they could take us to the moon song song
and it come with this I didn’t actually
believe we could do it in the first I
said if you goddamn weasel you know what
here’s a better way of doing these if I
make this round I put through sticks
between I think we can roll around a
little faster the rest of the came in
was we’re gonna test out this like he
was the idiots are you crazy
they don’t ever work but everyone for
that lunatic idiot we’d all be still

institution and never will forget
several years ago I toured Nike and if
you ever get a chance to go up there
toward Nike it’s absolutely amazing I
could not find an employee in all of
like he that wasn’t quick to tell me who
they were they’ve never talked about who
they work individually they talked about
who they were corporately they knew
their history they knew they backed
their background they knew who they were
as a company a philosophy had so
permeated the organization but even the
janitors would stop and tell you the
philosophy of Nike you see the reason
that’s important if you know who you are
then you know who you are not
if you don’t know who you are somebody
can ascribe any identity on to you and
you would morph into whatever they want
you to be and that’s what has happened
with the whole lot of us some of us have
been ten or twelve different people
depending upon who we were with because
we don’t know who we are we become
whoever they want us to be and then when
they leave us we are confused because we
have no real understanding of who we are
you said well I thought you were talking
about believing in God I’m talking about
believing God but I’m also talking about
believing in yourself Paul says I can do
all things through Christ who
strengthens me before he brings up
Christ he brings up him we saw amazing
he believes in God that we overlook the
fact that he believes in himself I can’t
do all things somebody said I can do all
things
oh my god just just I’m right there it
say it again I can do all things
wouldn’t it be amazing if you believe
that what do you sleep good tonight if
you believe that wouldn’t you walk
around with your hand up at your back
straight if you believe that said again
I can do all things you wouldn’t be
intimidated by anybody anywhere at any
time if you just believe that said again
I can do all things can you imagine how
different your job interview would go
did you really believe that and walk did
they say what do you do I could do
imagine if you were taught that from the
time you were born into the world the
first thing your mama told you when they

it baby you can’t do all things so I was
hungry like I was hungry people often
want to call me the exception like oh my
god you’re the exception no I’m not the
exception I’m an average ordinary woman
who chose every day to make one more
extraordinary decision I’m an average
ordinary mom who said I want to
drastically transform my son’s future
that he deserves to have every option
that every other child would have
irregardless of what he was born into I
just was crazy enough to believe that
that it doesn’t matter the color of my
skin doesn’t matter my religious
background doesn’t matter my origin it
doesn’t matter my mom’s bank account in
my dad’s big town when I was born none
of that means my future that’s just the
circumstance that I came from that’s not
what defines my future I just believe
that not a lot validated it but faith is
believing in the unseen anyway so I had
enough faith to go I know like I know
like I know like I know I don’t
necessarily have to see it yet I mean
the first time that that I went through
the process of raising money I assumed
that I was going to have to talk to at
least 200 people before I found one who
was going to believe in me so I didn’t
really care if people returning me down
because I knew I would find someone who
did
how do you make people believe in you
I’m you know I think you have to believe
in yourself and I think you have to have
the conviction in yourself to be able to
make something happen because ultimately
it’s up to you and when you have that
level of conviction you’ll find the
people or the resources or the tools
that you need to make it happen it it
may take a lot longer than you think but
it’s about keeping that conviction in
yourself when I started the company my
parents said thicken your skin this is
gonna be if it takes off it’s gonna be
hard at times and you’re gonna have to
listen or not listen to the negativity
and think of it as noise and really just
believe in what you’re going to do and
and and don’t read anything that’s
negative and and and just believe in
yourself I’ve always made a living so I
can make movies I never made movies to
try and make a living
think that’s a big mistake that a lot of
newcomers do is that they focus on how
can my passion pain
and I think that’s a terrible place to
start if the reason why you’re doing
anything creative is to make a living
then you’re doing it wrong
you get into it because it’s it’s a true
passion it’s something you really
believe in
