How To Stop Procrastination – YOU NEED TO LEARN THIS! (Eye Opening Video)

how do you stop procrastination we’ve
all heard of it and we all know it’s a
bad thing but what is it across the
nation is the action of delaying or
postponing something when you know what
you should be doing but instead you do
meaningless and worthless empty tasks it
is anything but what you’re supposed to
be doing playing a game watching YouTube
videos eating food doodling staring in
the mirror listening to music the list
we usually build the Kratzer nation into
our routines say I need to write this
speech right here but first I’ll have a
little look on YouTube trending then I
enter the wormhole of YouTube and end up
on funny cat videos and top ten richest
biggest fastest strongest lists we all
have a vice and a thing that is in built
to our routine that strays us from the
task was supposed to be doing after
hours of scrolling through Reddit we
think to ourselves why is it all that
time go damn it I can’t get that back so
how does it affect you well firstly
you’re not pushing forward on your goals
and you’re wasting time see the crass
summation is built from empty tasks and
rituals it doesn’t add value or gain
knowledge or at least knowledge worth
knowing and it doesn’t get you moving in
the direction you wanted to go what’s
funny is we actually know when we are
procrastinating we are always aware our
minds feel extremely guilty yet we
continue to say just five more minutes
or just one more video I’ll stop at 2
p.m. and then you look at the clock and
it’s 207 p.m.
you say well I can’t stop now it’s an
uneven number so I’ll stop with 220 you
say well we all have little nuances that
so how can we battle it well you must
know your enemy and define the problem
how can you fight something that you
don’t know where its weaknesses lie or
its strengths your ritual of
procrastination is personal to you only
you know it best but a lot of the time
we don’t take a moment to break it down
think of how harmful it is and why it is
harmful you must break the cycle when
procrastinating we get a small amount of
dopamine hitting the brain enough to
keep us from doing our tasks when this
short burst wears off we just go through
the cycle again by hitting another video
or scrolling to another page or hitting
another website up that you must visit
because it’s ritual to you
it’s a dopamine loop a very small hit of
positive feeling from a funny video just
enough to stop you from doing your main
task so the reason we feel guilty at the
end of the cycle is because we know if
we just follow through with the harder
task it would be more rewarding and in
the long run would provide dopamine on a
more regular and steady basis
so if your work is on a computer say you
need to write a book that you always
wanted to get out when you go to the
computer you always check out YouTube
maybe convince yourself it’s for
inspiration but always end up in the
loop your solution is simple you must
break the loop so turn the internet off
disconnect from the Wi-Fi ban yourself
if the book is that important to you
you’ll do it this will completely break
the cycle trust me this will work but
it’s whether you really want to write
the book or not
[Music]
but I need the internet for research
well ban yourself from every website you
don’t actually mean every time you
connect yourself wasting time feeling
guilty go into your computer settings in
ban yourself from that website put a
block rock you need to break the cycle
whatever it is there is always an easy
solution to fix it but there are two
factors that stop you from doing this
number one you’re lazy and you don’t
actually want to succeed or number two
you aren’t taking the time to actually
define your loop you haven’t actually
tried to take action on your
procrastination dopamine loop and you
haven’t taken action you must take
action you must define your enemy and
[Music]
well we’re free to work on our dreams
and pursues that’s not saying that the
little devil is not going to be sitting
on your shoulder tapping the side of
your head to jump back into the loop the
allure of quick satisfaction can often
pull you away from your work then also
in life there are things out of our
control these things would always happen
even if we were procrastinating so at
least you have the time to process the
situation when life hits you on the
blindside more time means more success
more steps in the right direction more
time for your journey it isn’t supposed
to be easy
the Craster nation is just one of those
things in life that is put there as an
obstacle for you to overcome just
another hurdle that you need to jump
it’s not the only thing but it seems
like a huge percentage of people who are
actually attempting their goals get into
a battle with distractions it’s a good
thing it usually means you’re on the
it’s not escapism its avoidance they are
two different things because you aren’t
trying to escape what you are attempting
you want to do it but you’re just
avoiding it for a later time
for tomorrow
but we all know tomorrow is not promised
and soon tomorrow will never come and
you don’t want to be the person like so
many others laying there on their
deathbed thinking what if I had actually
given it my best shot
[Music]
maintaining defeat is just as hard as
the battle it is a constant war you must
always remember who your enemy is and be
fully aware at all times they will try
to pull you from the task in hand
[Music]
pushing forward on your goals is the
best way to defeat procrastination as
you simply forget of your old dopamine
loop if your focus and drive provides
dopamine that is far superior than
anything procrastination can provide
achieving and surpassing goals will make
you feel a lot better than that funny
cat video it’s in your body building
doors will feel so much better over a
longer period of time than playing call
[Music]
the feeling of succeeding is so much
sweeter than any trivial dopamine
release you are worthy of success and
worth so much more than your
procrastination
