Simple LED Upgrade for Halloween / Rave Mask

first what you’ll have to do is you’ll
have to make something like this
basically you take your stereo wire and
split it down the middle and this length
across mine was three inches but a might
vary depending on yourself and you take
your positive right here connect it to
the negative here and then you’ll have a
positive here and a negative here so
then you’ll just thread this back
through this will go to your controller
now this is pretty just slapped together
but Halloween only comes once a year so
I really didn’t want to put too much
time into it and this works basically so
I have a momentary push-button switch
two zip ties a 9-volt battery clip and
just some electrical tape to hold stuff
together now what you have to do is
you’ll see here your black and white
wire and it doesn’t really matter
there’s some trial and error and this
took me a while to get everything
working but basically your black wire
should be connected to one end of the
momentary push-button switch and then
your white wire should be connected to
the stereo cable which runs back to your
LED display or LED lights and it’s
really simple just keep everything
together with the zip ties and you just
thread this into your pocket and
depending on how tall you are you’ll
want to measure out distance from
wearing the mask with thee from the eye
sockets to your pocket or wherever you
feel you want this switch to be and then
you just press the button it’s real
simple
so I’ll show you guys what it looks like
on my mask couple s notes when voting
your LEDs connecting them to your wires
you’ll want to know that the longer wire
as seen here is the positive also if you
decided that you didn’t want to use a
momentary push-button you just wanted to
have an on and off switch you’ll have to
add some type of resistor because these
LEDs will burn out pretty quickly that’s
why I’m using the momentary push button
and another alternative is to just use
two double-a batteries as opposed to the
9-volt and that’ll eliminate having to
use any kind of resistor here’s what my
mask looks like as it’s finished you
have the remote with the momentary
push-button and and on the inside what
you’ll do to finish it is you’ll take
just some black electrical tape and
you’ll bend the LEDs so that they fold
over on the eye sockets like so and then
you just tape everything and this wire
you’ll know if worried about it getting
in the way it’s because well especially
for my mask since it covers up my whole
face I just usually thread this down
through my shirt and then like into a
pocket of some sort so there you go just
a quick easy way to make your mask even
scarier
