Learn English – myself / my own

so more questions from the internet this
next one from Italy I was asking about
myself or my own way can we use myself
when can use my own what’s the
difference so the easy answer is they
mean the same thing
I mean I’m alone I’m without other
people but the difference is the
preposition to start with we’ve got at a
party she doesn’t have her friends she’s
alone she can say one of two things I’m
on my own or I’m by myself
so notice the preposition is different
with them the meaning is the same
she’s alone no other people but let’s
look at another example
yes they both mean alone without other
people but it can also mean without help
from other people let’s look at this
example if you say I study English by
myself or I study English on my own
yet they could mean the same thing but
both of them could mean two different
things remember alone or without help
from other people so to say this
it could mean alone I study English by
myself no other people in the class or
it could mean without help in this case
without help from a teacher I study
alone just me no help from anyone else
but to look at them separately you can
use my own to add emphasis to the fact
that it’s your possession so for example
you buy a car I bought it with my own
money no one else’s money my self is
like a reflexive for example you
wouldn’t say oh no I spilled wine on me
you would say oh no I spilled wine on
myself so my self would replace me if
you in fact are the subject and the
object I hope that answers your question
