Pulled Pork burritos and Coleslaw Part 1 with My Virgin Kitchen


hi guys how’s it going welcome to my
virgin kitchen on the jamie oliver
youtube channel today we showed how to
make this wicked pulled pork burritos
with funky homemade Kostov barbecue
sauce and a wicked rice thing here’s the
video hope you enjoy it ah there’s a
place in your house where it’s cool to
chill get some me time or even cook a
meal it’s the kitchen mofo in a town –
slap – just grab yourself a penny and
this work that a stiffy scared of this

mo needs a father just lay down your
weapons and pick up another burritos
rice give me full of flavors first step
we’re going to do actually I’ve got a
massive pulled pork shoulder thing right
there well it’s not pulled yet that’s
what we’re gonna do – it’s a pork
shoulder in the shoulder of a pork thing
right there and I’ve got a selection of
rub ingredients if hit pause now and
write them all down that is exactly what
I’ve got my friends alright so I’ve got
my rub ingredients in a bowl at that was
Paul it all in together I’m just gonna
get a wooden spoon and work it all in
like so to form our funky master rub
master rub then we’re gonna do some dry
rub that’s kinky okay so once you got
your Robby greens already like that
looks lookin like a master color saw
like a DP kind of brown just sprinkle it
all on there make sure your hands are
clean by the way I realize this can get
your hands right in there and you know
what I’m so confident about this recipe
turn it over get it in walnuts and
crannies I’m so confident about this
recipe that I think I could convert
vegetarians into me ears yeah that’s
confidence okay so just sent some dry
rub action drive up in UK means
something quite pink you said please
ignore that anything from the UK
anything you try and get it in all the
nooks and crannies on the flaps
dig deep in there make sure we get all
the grub on there as well and wash your
hands after so I’ve got an oven that’s
preheated to the temperatures down below
there and it’s gonna go in there for a
good hour now so we can move on and make
our coleslaw I better help shut the door
and wow I showed that pretty hard feel
kind of butch right now so we’ll get on
and make our homemade course alright now
the cool thing is we can make it in our
Bowl and no pun intended but the cool
thing is and put it in the fridge there
and it’s going to
zap that freshness in that’s gonna be so
good it’s gonna be spectacular it’s our
here if you hit pause on the video and
right though he’s down but I got some
carrot with some I need got some cabbage
that’s half the small cabbage just
chopped up nice and fine but you can
make it your own you can even chuck a
banana in there if you want hammer
that’s why I’m doing a cooking video the
minute okay yeah so you just chop it one
in so still my first thing is for
massive tablespoons of mayonnaise into
your bowl like so I actually made a
homemade mayonnaise before this is
really simple but um John man is fine if
you be amazing
next add two really good tablespoons of
runny honey get some nipples of salt and
pepper just evening with shots of those
trained in they go like that this is our
little tablespoon of olive oil this is a
cider vinegar and I had to say that last
night I’ve had a bit few too many
mourners and that tastes nothing like
side up just a little drop of that give
it a tang yeah days I’m soda okay next
I’m grabbing my onions and just getting
that in there is probably gonna be a few
bits and bobs and then it’s got some
onion on the floor fantastic so just get
your only thin and then just grab your
carrots chop those in and last but not
least don’t forget your cabbage just put
that in quite quite carefully alright
guys so here it is in a bottle or to get
my dad to grapple with next seven it’s
basically grab myself a spoon and mix
that all together may be fine okay guys
so I’ve mixed together up my coastal and
I’m really really happy with it
why won’t you to imagine it is that
because this is here the coleslaw is
that you don’t want to be drenched in
mayonnaise so that it sort of like the
vegetables are swimming like doing
breaststroke or front crawl on my guy
from far and you also don’t want it to
be like oh yeah where’s the mayonnaise
you wants all that fine balance yeah
it’s kind of like if you jumped into a
plunge pool of melted chocolate and
you’ve got out and before you enjoy
yourself there’s gonna be a bit of
chocolate sticking to you but then a lot
of it would have drained off that’s what
you want okay you want the mayonnaise to
be the chocolate and need to be a
vegetable right you know so once your
hour is up your first hour of that pork
give it a smell Flay Anastas if you want
well that was for added and
nation smelling good right so we need to
carry on the cooking process but before
we do grab some water
don’t worry for there’s somebody X just
or rubbers around the edges it’s all
good
pour around about 100 mils of water in
there like so and now I’ve made a funky
based out all over oil paprika and a
little bit more honey like that which
I’m just gonna rub on top like this okay
so even a massive coated all over it’s
all nice and shiny wow you’re really
shiny so what can I do is get a sheet of
tin foil and drape it over like puttin
the pork in bed okay so with your pork
in bed like that there is it’s gonna go
back in the oven exactly the same
temperature as before for four hours so
this is your chance to go out and party
and play or prep the rest of you
ingredients or maybe ever sleep whatever
you wanna do see it a bit
