How To – cook rice, with Jamie Oliver’s mate Pete


I’m going to show you how to make
perfect fluffy rice failsafe every time
first you bring a pot of water plain
water no soul to the boil and then you
add handful the rice or every person you
cooking for so don’t have to be too
accurate about this that’s about four
handfuls in there for four people now
just let that come to the boil and cook
very gently till the rice is soft right
now the rice has been cooking for about
ten minutes and I look of it I can see
it’s just about cooked so I’m going to
pour this rice and a water into a sieve
I’ve got waiting
pop back on the heat ice back on the
pump put it on top and with a Toma heel
now that rice is going to sit there keep
warm and steam on the leftover heat of
the pan and it’ll be good like that for
maybe 10 minutes while you sort out the
rest of your meal last thing to do start
a pinch of salt pork on the rice
