World Vision’s 30-Hour Famine

did you know 854 million people
worldwide suffer from chronic
malnutrition this year 100,000 youths
are participating in the world vision 30
hour famine and today we get to speak
with Mary F and Jeremy about this cause
what is the World Vision 30 hour famine
really meaningful activity where young
people gathered together at their school
for example in any place and they fast
for 30 hours at the same time they have
to raise money so to help world vision
works all around the world for a Food
Program water program and child soldier
program and the experience what kids all
around the world have to experience
everything it started in nineteen
seventy one in Calgary will when a group
of teenagers a TV show about Africa and
about kids suffering from hunger and
they thought wow we can’t sit down look
at that and do nothing and how do people
participate it’s very simple World
Vision provides everything to do the 30
hour famine kids can sign up online at
world vision that CA or famine that’s
yay and they’re going to receive a kit
where everything is explained on how to
participate in the famine and is it safe
naughty for 30 hours a buddy can survive
between five to seven days without any
water during the famine kids will drink
juice water they can even eat some rice
if they don’t feel good why do you think
more use are getting more involved i
think that youth realize that they can
have an impact in the world so they want
to do something they sign up in through
the famine thank you tell us a little
bit about the recent polls that were
conducted for the world vision youth are
really concerned about peace around the
world and also about hunger and about
justice and where is the money going
we’re going to work in uganda around
Africa in Asia and India and why do you
think more use are participating it’s so
meaningful for the kids they do with one
year and they want to do more than next
year you know
