seeing this behind me this crazy-looking
speaker setup I mean what’s the story
with this well the story starts about
three years ago where we gave our
engineers cut blush if you like to say
you know guys knock yourself out make in
your view the best speaker you can
without any thought of commerciality at
all what was created was this huge
loudspeaker it was a prototype it didn’t
look good at all but it sounded great
our Chairman is by my education from the
world of the design and he put us
together with Ross Lovegrove you see on
the film there he’s a real guru in the
world of design and his team was put
together with our acoustics team to give
body to this great prototype the
interesting thing is fundamentally of
course we’re a loud speaker manufacturer
and whatever shape is built has got to
make an acoustic sense so in other words
the two teams had to understand each
other’s disciplines what we ended up
with was this beautiful super formed
aluminium body super forming is a new
process which is used in the high-end
car industry and that allows you to
build very large very exact pieces the
technology that’s gone into this has
already trickled down to our let’s say
more affordable reference series our key
technologies called unique you that is
featured on our very most affordable
products which started about four
hundred dollars a pair how exactly does
that unique hue technology work what is
that just to put it very very simply on
a normal loudspeaker you have a woofer
which makes the base and the tweeter
which makes the treble and they’re
separated on the baffle now our
principle is we wanted to make something
which is which is more natural to put it
very simply when I speak all frequencies
come from one
we don’t have one little mouth making
treble and one big mouth making base
everything comes from one point and
that’s exactly what unique you chassis
does in fact it’s two speakers with the
with the tweeter in the exact acoustic
center of the mid-range the advantage it
spreads the sound very very naturally
and very evenly it’s more realistic
sounding
