for the brick put the flan in the oven
at 425 degrees for about 10 minutes and
now it’s time to make the gelatin glaze
that will cover this delicious dessert
so what I’ve done is I’ve prepared the
fruit by slicing the apples and pears
and then I’ve left the Kiwis in a
circular form just for a little bit of
texture and the bananas I’ve cut
lengthwise finally our grapes and
berries will be pressed to form the base
of our glaze to keep with our French
theme today I’ll be appropriating a
technique using the vineyards of boar
going a picturesque region in the middle
of the country now usually when pressing
berries and grapes small VAT or barrel
is used but i feel that using a temp or
container works just fine now I place
the newspaper on the floor I don’t mind
a bit of a mess but you’d like to try to
keep it contained and now we’re going to
take the grapes and evenly spread them
along the bottom of the Tupperware now
we’re just spreading the grapes and
berries evenly with our feet in the
bottom of the barrel and we’re ready to
step in now move your feet up and down
squishing with your toes and moving your
ankles in a circular motion your guests
will probably appreciate it if you cut
your hangnails before you begin to cook
obviously you’d probably want to wash
your feet as well I’ve opted not to in
favor of the technique used by French
chefs and wine growers alike they say
the flavor of the earth makes it into
their creations that way okay looks like
we’re done we’re ready to bring it up
now our Flynn still has about seven
minutes left in the oven but luckily I
made this one ahead of time and now what
we’re going to do is add the gelatin
glaze just working outside into the
middle okay well look at that shine okay
that looks good I’m just going to give
it a little taste here exquisite
