What is the International Gaming Summit?

no one can deny the sheer size of the
gaming industry hey welcome to
watchmojo.com i’m your host derek allen
today we’re speaking with the organizer
of the montreal international gaming
summit about the gaming industry in
general what exactly is the purpose of
this summit in the wider perspective of
the gaming industry as you know the
Montreal game summit is the biggest
event in Canada and is dedicated to
professionals so the purpose of having a
summit is first to promote Canadian and
specifically Quebec content to
professionals but also to allow them to
network and to learn what are people
being introduced to hear that there may
not have known about before when
professional comes to Montreal they see
that we have big companies like Ubisoft
like EA like I does but also very small
studios that do a very good job and that
we have also one of the largest
independent game studio which is the
artificial mining movement people know
what we do but not as much I think we
should for someone who doesn’t know much
about the gaming industry what do you
believe would surprise the most if they
came to a conference like this one the
video game is more than just programming
is more than just engineers so we want
to show all the aspect of video game in
terms of Damian what do you see for the
future of this industry well I think
what we see more and more is that video
game is not a family thing it’s also
part of entertainment just as a movie
and then television was a decade ago I
think there’s a very bright future for
for the video game industry thanks very
much thank you
