if your new table tennis you’re
obviously looking for some new helpful
advice to get you playing as soon as
possible which terms you prefer table
tennis or ping-pong of course it’s table
tennis hi welcome to watchmojo.com I’m
your host Ashley and today the
opportunity to speak to Canadian
champion pure Lukens be fun it sounds
more like garage and basement you know
that could so table this it’s more like
professional way to sit you tell us a
little bit about the history for table
tennis and why it became so popular it
started in England many years ago and
then became very famous in China is
there a difference between competing in
America Europe and China a huge
difference it’s much more professional
in Europe and Asia training is very
strict there in china for example it’s
all their life they don’t have to worry
about like the food is given everything
you know so it’s only table tennis so
can you tell us a little bit about the
rules for table tennis now it’s game
stuff 11 to six each so you can serve
all over the table it has to be first
bounce on your side and then second
bounce on the other side over the net
you can touch the edge it’s good if it
touched in it and goes on the other side
it’s so it’s good to when you serve they
touch the net and goes on the other side
then you restart the server and what
quality traits do you think someone
should have to be a good table tennis
player the technical part in to be
strong physical part tactical park I
mean mentally can be very hard some time
get to take the recent time something
you can get really pissed off and if you
lose yourself then you’re like you
finish for the game she always get it
have good self control and tactically of
course it’s always changing you know the
person would change something tactic so
you gotta adapt yourself yet always find
solution how many hours to train today
six hours a day three hours of training
the morning Travis of training the
afternoon and the evening I would do the
physical training like one hour one hour
now so it’s taking all day and what is
the longest match that you’ve played
about 45 minutes quite a long time
anyone and I think it’s pretty sure i
won
