Video on How to Perform CPR

hey how’s it going my name is Sebastian
risk for Washington mojo calm today I’m
with Julie Chevy a a certified CPR
instructor and we are going to go over
the basics of CPR for adults children
and infants and we’re also going to go
over the Heimlich maneuver what is the
CP and our stand for CPR stands for
cardiopulmonary resuscitation and
basically what we do when we’re
performing CPR as we’re helping the
blood circulate around the body and
therefore bringing good oxygenated blood
cells to all the major organs keeping
the personal life ok so when would we
want to actually conduct CPR on someone
let’s say um if you found someone who
was not moving and he detected they
weren’t breathing then that would be
grounds to start doing CPR so the first
thing you have to do when you arrive on
the scene and you find somebody who’s
unconscious is first of all to protect
yourself and check the scene around you
so a good way to remember it is to check
for a firewire gas or glass so you look
at your surroundings there’s nothing
that can harm you than it’s safe to
person kneel down and and try and wake
them up and see if they’re really
unconscious if they are then you
yourself would go and call 911 or you
would send someone to go call it so I
have somebody with me so you go home I
on one and report back to me we have an
unconscious person from there I’m going
to bear the chest all right and I’m
going to tilt the head back completely
and I’m going to look listen and feel so
I’m going to look to see if the chest is
rising I’m going to try and feel the
breath on my cheek and I’m going to try
and hear it with my ear for 10 seconds
if they’re not breathing I’m going to
administer two breaths with my barrier
device which is a pocket mask
[Music]
chest rise and if the breast go in I’m
going to go straight to my compressions
I put one hand between the nipples on
the breast bone and I make sure my
elbows are straight and I press down 30
times 1 2 3 4 8 29 30 can I come back
due to big breasts
[Music]
and let’s set those in we continue to we
continue doing compressions and breaths
until help arrives or you receive
automated external defibrillator that
you can use on your victim or we just
get way too tired and you can’t go on
anymore
