ghosts many of these characters true

hey man we weren’t kidding when we said

to one or two characters this film
consists entirely of split personalities
of Malcolm rivers a convicted serial
killer and the entirety of the film
occurs within his head everybody
they don’t exist Edward you were all
created by Malcolm as a child yeah the
killings of these characters turn out to
be the result of a treatment that’s
meant to rid him of his 9xs
personalities Malcolm is in the midst of
a medical treatment one which forces all
his identities to confront one another
for the first time or identities that’s
the name of the film you get it this is
used to fantastically grim perfect by
attaching the audience to characters
that are ultimately the product of
insanity just saying maybe there’s some
connection between all
number nine Ivan the machinist a perfect
fit Christian Bale plays an insomniac in
one of his most critically acclaimed
performances in this trippy film I
haven’t slept in a year as Trevor Bale
masterfully portrays an insomniac
becomes fascinated to the point of
obsession with his mysterious co-worker
Ivan was distracted by what what
distracted you was I even I was watching
Ivan of the pit the whole thing was my
fault in the climax
Trevor kills Ivan only to discover he
didn’t actually exist but is a product
of the insomnia caused by a traumatic
incident wasting money go home mister
the most interesting aspect of this
character is the subtle foreshadowing of
his true nature throughout the movie as
we gradually come to the realization
along with Trevor just want to sleep
number eight Eve black and J the three
faces of EU I’m sick I am mentioning
sick I cannot marry anybody ever we’ve
heard a big two-faced but three based
Joanne Woodward won a Best Actress Oscar
for her role as Eve white a woman who
suffers from distinctive identity
disorder she was in fact a case of what
is called multiple personality something
that all psychiatrists are read about
and very few have ever seen based on a
real person named Chris costing her
Sizemore Eve black is a highly violent
alternative personality in contrast to
the timid and submerse off’ eat white
dude i suppose you didn’t buy those
clothes either before I’d heard funny
meanwhile Jane is a stable personality
that ultimately gains dominance of the
shared body and is finally able to live
a happy life in an unconventional use of
the alternate personality trope
I can remember number seven
Frank the rabbit Donnie Darko why are
you a that stupid place
why are you wearing that stupid mansion
what would you do if a man in a
frightening bunny costume showed up in
the middle of the night and foretold of
the world’s impending end so opens

Frank the rabbit is a mysterious
character throughout the film and his
actual nature is never fully revealed
though we know he’s only visible to
Donnie what did Frank say it’s a
Newfoundland follow him we’re into the
future he’s able to convince him to do
various outlandish tasks such as flood
his school and burn a man’s house down
while you would normally be happy to
have a bunny as an imaginary friend
you’ll probably want to pass on this one

number six Birdman Birdman or the
unexpected virtue of ignorance look I’m
trying to do something’s important this
is not import it’s important to me
Michael Keaton stars in this Best
Picture winner as Regan Thompson an
actor who has never been able to reach
the heights of his superhero role from
more than 20 years earlier Birdman was
this guy used to be good man
throughout the film though Birdman
speaks to Regan both taunting and
encouraging him we jump right back into
that suit if you wanted to we’re not
dead a turkey with leukemia he’s truly a
personification of his regret for not
taking his acting career more seriously
as well as his doubts that he’ll ever be
able to mend it I don’t exist I’m not
even here
this voice in his head really helps
develop this now iconic character and
give the audience insight into the inner
workings of his mind while leaving it up
to them to decide how crazy he really is
a fam number-5 joy sadness fear anger
disgust and bing-bong inside out take
her to the moon for me we could have
given each of these quite literally
colorful characters a spot on our
countdown but they take up half the list

you’ve ruined beat some monster

work together to create moments that are
at times hilarious poignant and
surprisingly deep do you remember how
she’s the stick her tongue out coloring
the chemistry between this group though
is the secret ingredient to one of
Pixar’s best films we wish joy was here
and before Charles Marcy and Parcher a
beautiful mind it all seems to add up
but how do you know for sure Ron
Howard’s Best Picture winner is a
character study on the real-life Nobel
laureate John Nash following his
development of paranoid schizophrenia
this what you are soldier some useless
cool the local madman I’m no soldier
you’re gonna end up in a cell as such
his complicated mind creates Charles his
college roommate Marcy his niece and
Parcher a mysterious agent from the
Department of Defense who drives many of
Nash’s delusions who are you talking to
not hopeful John
she’ll compromise us again no she won’t
you’ll go back to the hospital countless
people will die what’s great about these
characters is the way that they flesh
out Nash’s character and create a
physical manifestation of his struggle
with mental illness without treatment
John the fantasies may take over
entirely
number three now inception tell me did
the children miss me
while most of his movie technically
takes place inside someone’s head now is
the one character who only exists there
you keep telling yourself what you know
but what do you believe what do you feel
arguably the main antagonist of the film
she shows up during the big mission only
to cause problems due to cops grief over
her tragic suicide Wow now makes Cobb
story arc significantly more personal as
he’s forced to make peace with the
personification of his loss in order to
keep his friends at himself alive design
it – so MA won’t let me
come back to reality now yo Pacquiao
gives an intense performance that echoes
the meaningfulness of her character you
can still keep your promise we can still
be together right here in the world we
built together
number two Tyler Durden Fight Club
things you own end up owning one of the
most famous twist endings of all time
involves the reveal that Brad Pitt’s
Tyler was a figment of the unnamed
narrators imagination I’m not
Tyler dirty told us you’d say that too I
am validating this means that he was the
mastermind behind Fight Club as well as
Project Mayhem why wasn’t I told about
Project Mayhem first rule of Project
Mayhem is you not ask question the
reveal was incredibly impactful since
Tyler was the film’s deuteragonist and
