new millennium new decade new anime
he’ll kill you to join us
you should come play with us for a
change welcome to watchmojo.com XTO the
counting down our picks for the top 10
anime series of the 2000 before we begin
we publish new videos every day so be
sure to subscribe for more great content
as companies began to license more anime
the 2000s became an important decade for
the medium so we’ll be looking at both
series that made us save up for those
shiny new box back we’ll be basing our
picks on the original Japanese release
dates just to avoid confusion the things
had continued that way the balance
between the two worlds would have
collapsed it would have meant the
apocalypse number 10 helping ultimate
the choice is yours what do you want to
do back in 2001 we were introduced to
healthy – the ultimate party the series
was dark
Alucard was cool and there was plenty of
blood to satisfy our vampiric need
however this version of helping didn’t
quite follow the manga that’s not always
a bad thing
but there were plot points and certain
characters we didn’t get to fully
experience Anderson critter we have
called upon Glenn his kingdom but that’s
where ultimate came in and gave us a
story that follows the Mun got better
complete the glorious 40 to 60 minute
episode the insane animation budget
wasn’t half bad either
[Music]
number nine bleach Paulo’s are falling
Souls souls that were not guided into
the soul society by a Soul Reaper sort
of advice if you see a monstrous hollow
on the attack leave it to a trained
Shinigami otherwise you might end up
taking their powers and unintentionally
becoming a Soul Reaper
[Music]
[Applause]
this is no easy task for Ichigo not just
because of the creatures he faces but
there are certain souls that are
emotionally difficult to put to rest I’m
sure you know you won’t you free
[Applause]
along the way we’re introduced to a
colorful cast of human non-human and
stuffed characters each with their own
unique abilities for your action-packed
shown in anime
[Music]
number eight monster I am now I scrape
the pen
what is the doctor’s true purpose for
dr. Kim’s Oh Tenma
it was saving the life of decision yo
hat even when those around him wanted
him to treat the mayor in debt how he
holding up blood pressure 72 over 50 his
pulse was at 137 the bullet entered
through his forehead this led to the
mayor’s death and Tenma being
blacklisted until those who blacklisted
em turned up dead Q now promoted to the
chief surgery Tenma spent the next nine
years as a successful doctor until yo
man returns and reveals that he was the
killer
something that ten must have benefited
from
so comes the real intriguing question of
the series who’s the real monster no I
am just my cameraman number 7 gamourai
shamsuddin there are certain directors
that never let you down
Shinichiro Watanabe a director of Cowboy
Bebop is definitely one of them as soon
as we saw his name attached to this
series we knew we were in for a treat
and what an odd I did not disappoint
when that opening theme starts here
already bobbing your head to this
stylish retelling of Japan’s Edo period
after that is a non-stop adventure
between the rogue lewin sir ronan gin
and the waitress booth who convinces the
two to help her inner quest to find the
samurai who smelled like sunflower
[Music]
number six in common huh dammit IRT
thank you
speaking of retellings of the 8o period
this might just be one of the funniest
aliens are on the attack and the Shogun
bravely surrenders when he realizes they
can’t win
why not CD weekly wait please
[Music]
this leads to the aliens taking all of
the samurai sword and the 8o period
getting a futuristic makeover we’re old
forcibly needs new hooks off perfectly
timed comedy combines with this crazy
premise makes this one of the most
hilarious series of the decade which can
also be surprisingly touching a time
[Music]
dynamo II dose engine re Mastriani in
the middle of it all is Kentucky

Kogi on but you’ll die I don’t lie
don’t be an idiot an old friend of mine
always used to tell me that if there was
a fool
it’s my weakness again there’s some
strange stuff happening to the folks in
area 11 then loose for example has
gained the power of Geass
which lets him command people to do
whatever he wants look you die early
your highness
this is something he wants to use to
take down daddy dearest the Emperor of
Britannia
Lelouch decides to create a better world
for his sister a noble cause but one
that quickly spirals out of control
according to this report the suspect is
an honorary Britannia what follows is a
series of mind games and hilarious yet
tragic killing freeze zero
I don’t have time to fool with 10 a
father like you see to get the 12th
Street now it can be a train record time
but it’s damned entertaining one grew up
number four Naruto you ever lay a hand
on my senses I tell you once upon a time
there lived a ninja orphan who wanted to
be the best in his village
yeah the plot used to be that simple ha
ha ha who knew that this ninja kid lets
the milk out would soon be one of the
most infamous characters in anime the
series is blossomed from being about
childish rivalries and fanservice ejuice
to a tale of peace imaginative story
arcs memorable characters amazing
battles and of course plenty of ramen
Naruto is here to say whether you
believe it or not no fat baby number
three Death Note what if someone else
had picked up this notebook is there
anyone out there other than mean who’d
be willing to eliminate the Merman from
the world what some of us get bored we
spend way too much time on the youtube
comment section others like Rio from a
djegal notebooks that cause someone to
die whatever you write their name in it
I am the Shinigami of you that used to
be my notebook judging by us after
you’ve already accounted what you have
is no ordinary notebook things take an
interesting turn when Light Yagami gets
ahold of the book and decides to rid the
world of its criminal this leads to a
moral battle of wits against the famous
detective simply known as El Bank what
the hell was that
if I were Kira you’d be dead mister
Soichiro Yagami chief of the NPA the two
genies as bent as you’re trying to take
each other down while we all watch and
wonder whose side were supposed to be on
[Music]
[Applause]
[Applause]
[Music]

always remember we allowed you to live
view people expected the theory to be
rebooted especially after just five
years with Brotherhood following the
manga closer we get an even greater
story to digest
new characters more of lewisite scenes
and more heart crushing plot points we
are the same
we’re the same you’re just like we we’re
not oh but yes we are the opportunity
was right in front of us and we still
