this Danish indie-rock duo is all about
love hi my name is Stephanie welcome to
watchmojo.com and today we’re speaking
with the raveonettes about their latest
album their influences and more
can we talk to me a bit about the
musical and lyrical themes on your
latest album observation it’s about love
and which all our albums are about we
don’t know it that well yet because we
just recorded it so we have to listen to
a little bit more but we’re very proud
of it and we think it’s gonna be the one
see the street
you were saying like love is one of the
major themes can you also tell me about
what other things influence or inspire
you guys just everyday life and yeah I’d
say that is really the only influence
it’s just everyday life you know it’s
whatever you read or you here or if you
see or talk about people you mean
obviously you guys have been working on
it for a while but are there any
challenges that you guys have had to
face on trying to harmonize both of your
vocals yes many times when when that
phenomenon occurs then we usually just
sing in unison or one of us just sings
the song and it has happened a lot
lately for some reason but if we used to
be yeah a lot better it just
I think right now we just like the
individuality of our voices more and
then you know it used to be that our
boys really blend so that we almost
couldn’t hear who was who and that had a
certain charm to it now we’re trying out
you know the more the different voices
individually and so there’s not as it’s
not as much harmonizing and going on at
the moment this is how it is at the
moment yeah it’ll come back
can you talk to me a bit about your
songwriting process and what it’s like
in the studio for you guys you know we
don’t really go into the studio that
much I mean on this album we did because
we wanted to and actually think it was
it was good for us i think we sang
really beautifully and i think we we
were sort of inspired to sing good in a
studio environment but but most of the
time we do it at home you know because
it’s easier and you feel sometimes maybe
a little bit more secure in your own
environment you know but I think
sometimes it’s nice to be in a in a
place where you sort of way also you
have to perform in front of other people
and yeah great thank you so much for
your time you’re welcome
