Highlights – Jamie Oliver’s Big Feastival 2011

well on this beautiful English summer’s
day I’ve come to the first ever Jamie
Oliver festival on cap and Coburn in
London I’m going to be wandering around
talking to chefs and school holders and
people who just come out here for a day
out to find out what they think of this
first-ever unique mixture of food and
music
the feast of always fantastic I mean
it’s just that’s only been on a couple
of hours a load of people having a nice
time it runs eating
it’s very crafty feel to it so even
that’s a contemporary Vista but when
it’s all high-tech it’s actually got
lovely crafty fuels it’s fantastic I
mean this festival is a brilliant idea
it really means this first day of the
festival the whole feel about it’s got
that kind of carnival feel it’s not to
commercial which I really like and
everyone here is just so chill that I
think it festival that supports all of
Jamie’s foundation you know it’s about a
charity which i think is really
important that there’s quite a few of
these fest that was in London I think
this is a first I think is brilliant you
know I think anyone that can just pass
over the age of 25 and if young people
can you know see other as an inspiration
you know and follow what you do I think
you must be doing something good I think
Jamie is great you know he’s got this a
beautiful young and it’s brilliant to
know that it’s music and food in the
sunshine hopefully better about to be
here
the Feast of a wedding it’ll come from
well I tell you what it was and actually
I would be running 15 for nearly 10
years next October 15 pays for its
students but it who don’t have to
service funds to allow us to do new
things I was trying to make something
more inclusive
the tickets are pretty much cheaper than
any other how I’d say families of all
ages little toddlers Oh what
all sorts having a fantastic time I
won’t be so obscene as you’ve gone round
you know there is there’s music there’s
big bands there’s big chefs there’s
proper restaurants but it’s all the
other stuff that I hope you sort of felt
was the gel you know the w-white and the
craft there’s like 10 craft pass has
gone at any time there’s the car man has
planting this pot you know probably
another one next year I really hope so I
really hope so and I think it’s gone
down well I mean we’ve got 9,000 people
here today now I’m here I’m actually
this is going to the two most joyous
days anyway due to work I seem to be
having a certain type of Barry’s a huge
better
I absolutely love what Jamie’s done here
at the big beautiful the atmosphere is
incredible I remember there’s really
good music really good combined and all
of the 15 plantation it’s obviously it’s
it’s brilliant
the feasterville I think it’s amazing
it’s fantastic feels personal people are
lovely
I think this there is it something some
connecting factor it’s Jamie’s
personality which binds people together
this is also designed to raise money
from the Jamie Oliver which is a great
part to me is very exciting there’s all
these people here they’re really
concerned about food there’s loads of
kids learn how to grow stuff there’s
definitely this huge swell and it
doesn’t seem to be going away I really
enjoying the fact it’s a really nice
size so you can get around eat drink
listen to some music it’s not
overwhelming how did you come into the
scheme to begin with
it was just a a random google search for
an apprenticeship betting it popped up
in a single urban Foundation which I’m
quite
or website is successful in each stage
and
this is a real difference of mixture of
people yeah I’ve never been to anything
like this it is amazing well it has to
be you’ve still got a bit of work to do
here if anything’s going to try the food
at some of the other stores god bless
all of you thank you very much lots of
food lots of good times they weren’t
real friendly in a plenty to drink you
might the winner really amazing seen so
much fun where there’s been amazing the
music everything some great Jamie’s
festival has been exceptional
there’s been no trouble everybody’s
amazingly friendly it’s a lot of food
which is there always good for me it’s
about going away for a couple of years
getting as much kitchen experience as I
can and there maybe coming back and and
being a chef in the 15 kitchen I’d love
to be able to come back in a couple of
years time and to pass on my knowledge
and experience and skills that I’ve
learned and pass it on to other people
who may be either had the best start in
life I’m gonna I’m gonna leave here so
much skills and knowledge on food and
that’s all thanks to Jamie if he didn’t
start this yeah
how would it be here right now enjoying
myself so much
