i’m here with rob barkley and your title
is I’m the director of CMC electronics
marine Recreation Division so can you
tell us a little bit about where the
market is going and where it’s heading
well it’s actually like any market the
electronic market is always changing
full integration is what electronics is
all about now integrating basically
where you are with what’s around you
being radar where you are being GPS and
all of them you know the wind speed the
boats be how deep the water is basically
putting it on one easy to operate
display so there’s a real merging and
technologies now between your navigation
of where you are what’s going on around
you what’s below you and your
entertainment so you can actually as I
say watch the Gulf while you’re driving
your boat that’s great and just to take
us through what can somewhat expect to
pay for a low-end basic system just to
find out where they are it’s going to
run just a small handheld GPS to be a
couple hundred dollars up to you can
spend thirty forty thousand dollars you
really want to go to town but and for
that kind of money what exactly do you
get that full integrated bridge
autopilot all your instrumentation
generally TV satellite television in
motion you know people want the comforts
at home on their boat that they want
heating the on air conditioning they
want to they want the security knowing
where they are plus they want to be able
to watch TV and listen to the stereo
