Review of the Van Morrison record “Pay the Devil”

hi this is Leslie at watchmojo.com on
the 6th of March Van Morrison was going
to be releasing a new studio album is
called cave a devil this is really
exciting for a lot of reasons van
Morrison is a legend almost everyone’s
heard of him and I personally became a
van Morrison fan because I saw him in
the last waltz where he collaborated
with them and a lot of people became
fans Van Morrison through similar routes
because Van Morrison is an artist who
has collaborated with a ton of other
artists over the years besides band he’s
collaborated with dr. John he’s
collaborated with eric clapton and he
really is an artist who continues to try
and push his boundaries so even though
we might think a van morrison as an
artist to brought us brown-eyed girl he
has released several pop albums several
jazz albums and gets paid the devil is
his first country album i’m not a huge
country fan but i really did like this
album what band does is he has 15 tracks
and he takes 12 country standards that
were popularized by people like Emmy Lou
Harrison and Hank Williams and he really
makes for his own he doesn’t really
beautiful red
your cheatin heart and then he adds to
that with doing tracks which round out
the album beautifully and I think it’s a
good listen for anybody to the van
Morrison fan you’ll be really impressed
with the way he’s been able to master
the genre as well and for anyone who’s a
country fan because he’s really done
very well so that’s this week’s release
and check back next week to see what’s
coming up
