Part 4 of the Ubisoft Profile, Tom Clancy Franchise

so another one of ubisoft’s really
popular franchises is the Tom Clancy
series of games now they have Tom Clancy
games ranging from the Ghost Recon
series to the Rainbow six series to my
personal favorite the Splinter Cell
series one of the things that you can
note about each series is really this
the Tom Clancy rainbow 6 series is more
based on sort of team-based squad-based
semi counter-strike like objectives and
action whereas the player is rewarded
for not just rushing into the
battlefield and gunning off a bunch of
guys we’re really strategically finding
out every situation almost like a chess
game before you actually enter the
gaming arena secondly the Ghost Recon
series actually focused on going in
there and really just blasting away at
the bad guys but as of recent iterations
like rainbow 63 for the Xbox we saw that
they actually incorporated that Xbox
Live land sort of feeling with the other
players so you’re interacting with and
coordinating strategies on the fly with
your other players those games tended to
be really focused on gunplay and and
just that overall visceral action
experience and my personal favorite is
actually the Splinter Cell series in the
Tom Clancy series of Ubisoft games
splinter cell was really in my opinion
one of those first games that took
graphics out of simply just being you
know a picture show to something that
you really interacted with and was
integral to the gameplay for example you
had scenarios where you’d be in a
warehouse and you’d be hiding in the
shadows the objective being not to be
seen and there’d be really pretty
lighting effects sort of streaming
through the windows and whatnot but if
you were to actually step into the
lighting you would cause alarm to
yourself and eventually be killed by the
enemy you know forces so what it did is
it actually found a way of causing you
to pay attention and focus on the
beautiful visuals
but actually making an integral part of
the gameplay experience
