know veterans to try new material and
new comics to try out just hear their
own voice on stage get jokes out get a
nice gauge of with their jokes work I
know I come over to you in the past in
fact I want to tell you this today I
really like your hair are you talking
over my gosh a lot of people think
they’re funny when they’re amongst
friends talking and they bring it
onstage and they realize that you know
they have to work at it there’s some
sort of format that they have to follow
and that’s what you could do at an open
mic thing I don’t know I could not get a
girlfriend for the longest I’ve had a
really dry spell that kind of lasted
from about Earth now you mentioned that
there’s veterans and peoples trying out
for the first time does this mean is for
everyone this is important I think you
know if you cut me if you cut this if
this is edited out I’m gonna kill you

always like you know fall off your your

laughter like the weekend open mic
people are trying my wife said she would
date a younger man she’d be a cougar and
I said you’re married honey if you date
a younger man you’ll be a cheat
because you always bring your a-game on
a weekend spot you know I mean but this
is the place where you could explore and
people the audience members should come
here with an open mind for open mic well
I happen like we’ve got a slogan now
this is so good how do you prepare what
do you need cojones
it’s your it takes it takes a lot of
guts to go up there it’s not easy at all
but prepare five minutes of material
that you think is pretty funny you know
watch some stand-up I actually recommend
that somebody comes in on a Monday night
before they want to go onstage and see
how the shows go and don’t be afraid to
bomb I know he makes fun of me about
bombing but don’t be afraid about the
bomb you have atomic successful push I
make fun of you for other reason that’s
true I also love judges my first three
sets were really great I thought I was
like I am a comedian and then I really
tank that the comedy that’s my fourth
set I stepped on the microphone cord and
all of a sudden I hear my voice cutting
out in the middle of a punch line I’m
like do you guys still hear me it was
horrible like it just all fell apart and
two of my buddies your musicians we’re
like dude you will learn more from this
show than you will any one where you’re
just doing well you don’t learn anything
you learn when you fail do you suggest
drinking a beer just to loosen up before
you getting up on stage I love beer I
don’t taking a dump that’s pretty much
it right that’s the one I think you need
to you’re forced to yeah get a few
drinks in me on like four or five like
twelve things yeah
and I just bought this this this
nice-looking barrel at the end of the
bar nice and fetching young lady and
build up my confidence and bust out the
sex of it
you’re much sharper on stage when you’re
not drinking yeah you realize that if
you start drinking then one day you stop
you realize how alert you were and you
like oh my god I can’t believe that was
missing this whole time you think you’re
alert when you’re drinking but it’s like
cuts it really dilutes your senses a bit
yeah
