Nico Archambault and the Pinup Saints

sex hi I’m Rebecca Brayton and welcome
to watchmojo.com and today we’re
speaking with Nikko our Shabo
choreographer for the pinup Saints once
she tells more about the pinup States
how and when did that group come
together dependencies started about five
years ago when the producer Mabel
Palomino which is also a good friend of
mine we were both dancing on a show in
Montreal I think you seen oh she started
talking to me about this project she had
she wanted to create a really fun event
to feature dancers because usually
dancers always in the background behind
a singer so we started having our show
and we’re like let’s do everything that
we would like to do and that we can
never do in shows let’s be sexy if you
want to but the way we want it to be if
you want to be rock let’s be rock you
want to be edgy you want to provoke you
want to be rebel let’s do it whatever
you want to do let’s try it so we’ve
been in a lot of different weights a lot
of different directions to finally
gather everything that we liked five
years later our album is out all
produced by Raul Kemp what music is
amazing it feeds us as choreographer
sometimes the dancers are going to be up
front it’s like a real rock show with
the band
sometimes the singers are completely in
the back and the dancers are in the
front sometimes it’s a big mix of
everything and the singers are jumping
around between these dancers and it’s
just really fun we can do what we want
with it
what comes first the music or the
choreography sometimes we have an idea
of choreography will propose to Raul I
know work a song with it sometimes he
comes up with a song it gives us idea we
work choreography and then when you see
their choreography it gives him
something else so he’s gonna go back and
modify and change the song and upgrade
it to fit so it’s like all we made up
together and then tailor it together
