Mitsubishi and Extreme Motorsport Rally Racing

rally driving truly is an art I’m
Miranda light stone with watchmojo.com
and today we’re going to take a closer
look at that art with Mitsubishi rally
drivers and two on the strand and
Natalie Rashard how did you get into
rally racing well my dad was a rally
driver here in Quebec in Canada so we’re
very young I was going to rallies with
him it’s more when i was a teenager
would say i really got hooked up and the
as soon as it was possible that i got my
driver’s license i started to build a
car and started rallying with a little
car no power and then moved up and here
we are my story’s a bit different it
wasn’t in my family it wasn’t in the
blood but my brother actually did start
in 1999 I went for one of his races and
right away I was hooked as well it’s a
great sport loved it right away and have
been doing it ever since so what’s the
best part of being a rally driver
waiting yeah winning of course but it’s
such a great extreme sport and to be
sideways a hundred miles an hour on dirt
roads it’s just awesome and jumping and
a lot of things makes it very exciting
and being able to drive a such a great
car as the Mitsubishi we have makes it
very interesting what’s the hardest part
about rallying rallying is is really a
lot of teamwork you know it’s he’s going
to be on his game I’ve got to be on mine
the car has to be perfect and mechanics
have to be great you know there’s a lot
of things that that factor into it and
so sometimes it’s something that’s very
small beyond your control and you know
it could ruin your rally but um you know
that’s just part of raleigh
what’s the most important part of having
that you have a gator in the car with
you the most important part of a
co-driver i think is really the timing
because if I’m late you know we could
have an accident if I’m too early and
calling my notes then he’s not going to
remember everything so timing really is
a big part of my job what driving alladi
wish existed on the roads today I think
the speed limits could be a little bit
higher on the on the highways having
said that I’m not crazy on the road
normally every day I’m pretty calm I let
it go when I’m at the races but sometime
on the iOS it’s a bit slow what driving
tip would you give to a daily driver to
improve their skills on the road well i
would say anticipation that’s what my
dad taught me when I was young and
that’s what I’m going to try to teach my
kids because a lot of time it’s the
others that don’t see you or do a
mistake that creates an accident so I
would say to everybody try to anticipate
what could happen and that would make
life easier I think be aware of your
surroundings you not just anticipate
what they’re doing but also you need to
really pay attention thank you very much
