how to dress for the cooler weather the
creative director simon mead said that
this collection is all about the modern
mix of the wardrobe what does that mean
exactly people today when they shop for
a wardrobe it’s not about a series of
different occasions they’re really
looking for versatile pieces that can
take them from work to an evening
function and evening something that take
them into the weekend as well so it’s
really a cross-functional wardrobe is
there a wrong and right way to mix and
match the key thing to keep in mind is
try to play with opposites so makes a
really sleek slim pant with an oversized
voluminous sweater miksa you know
masculine trouser with a great lady
light plows makes your knits with your
woven for example a button front blouse
a button front shirt mix that with a
great knit cardigan and then kind of
that mixture together really gives a
balanced appeal and I think it’s
something that you can have a lot of fun
with but it looks very sophisticated as
well now do you think you could show
some memorable pieces from this
collection definitely yes the
quintessential ladylike piece the little
ruffle front blouse this is one of my
favorites just because of the tip detail
we put it under a masculine style
cardigan so a great knit a must-have for
the fall and on the bottom we’ve given
her a great sleek pair of kind of
stretch jodhpur inspired
kinds of equestrian look mixed in with
the lady lake pieces and then she has
more of a edgy bag with a braided handle
for this look we have given her the same
thing she has a little pair of stretchy
gray pants so she also has layered her
knit so she is a little simple cami a
great cardigan and over that again we’ve
added a blazer and of course a great
chunky chain necklace and of course she
has a python clutch so there’s something
that’s new and interesting that she
mixed it for a little texture finally
over here this is a great black leather
jacket very lightweight it’s almost a
washed matte leather so it’s really
great so we’d mix this menswear inspired
piece with a really ladylike dress so
this is this color block style some
pleading and give her this great gold
necklace and she has sort of rock and
roll clutch as well to take her from the
office to evening it’s also about
layering when it comes to jewelry so
instead of a bigger chunkier elements to
the necklaces that we’ve seen in past
seasons now is all about layer chains
layered elements in the necklaces so
really a kind of a cascading pattern and
then when it comes to bracelets and
cuffs as well we’re seeing the same
thing so we have this gold cop one of my
favorites so it’s a fine gold detail but
