what is scratching scratching is pretty
much moving the record back and forth
while it’s Wow playback okay while the
needles on the record
okay so I’m just going to show you the
basic scratch patterns the movements of
the record relative to the cross fader
the record is what holds the sound so if
I let the record go he would just go
like it’s just the awesome I have this
visual reference to tell me where the
sounds start a lot of scratch DJ’s use
the cross fader as well you might be
wondering what this does it’s pretty
much an on and off switch by touching on
this side it turns it off put in the
middle so I’m gonna run you through some
of the basics I’m going to do it over
top of this beat
