reebok and suits too silly came together
with a shared vision to make fitness fun
again hi I’m Veronica watchmojo.com and
today we’re going to discover the Jakari
fit to flex workout seven could make a
shape and space with the van shikari fit
two flex is a dynamic flexibility and
mobility workouts so we’re really gonna
be working on increasing our range of
motion but at the same time we’re
challenging our joint stability we’re
working our core strength our balance
there’s also a level of musicality and
rhythm to it there’s this really nice
balance of power and grace that the
circus Olay artists have and we want to
bring that into our fitness and apply
that to our Fitness environment try and
fit the shape so instead of keeping the
arms together keep them nice and wide so
you keep the you how does this work out
help you achieve your fitness goals
basically what we’re doing is we have
this band is an assistance tool so that
by using a little bit of support for
example if we’re holding our leg up with
the band we’re allowing our more
dominant muscle groups to relax and
we’re able to get a little bit into the
the local stabilizers we’re able to
stretch a little bit more we’re not just
holding the stretch and relaxing there’s
a really active part of it focus on that
supporting leg where is your weight on
the foot keep it right in the center to
or nine last one can you take us through
this workout so people know what to
expect during their first class well we
restart the class with a warm up and
then there’s three main types of moves
that we do with the Jakari van we have
our focus moves we’re really focusing on
achieving that stretch and then we have
our fluidity moves where we’re moving
with the band we’re creating shapes or
having fun and just loosening up and
then we also have other moves that are
more focused on our muscular endurance
and then we do a section on the floor at
the end as well that’s more focused on
core so the first move I’m going to
demonstrate is lifting assists it’s a
focus move so I have my foot in a double
loop and I’m just gonna hold on with my
opposite hand so I have some good
assistance and then basically i’m using
my muscles to lift the leg i’m rowing on
the band so i have a nice assistance and
then i’m holding for two counts i’m
getting a nice stretch on my inner thigh
on this right leg i’m working here and
working my obliques and i’m working in
the supporting leg as well and then i’m
gonna
the leg we always do about six to ten
reps because each time we want to go a
little bit higher so we’re really
working on getting closer to our
flexibility edge that’s the idea here so
we’re going to do a fluidity move we’re
gonna do flip overs with the side lunge
to really get our heart rate up this is
loose loop so I’m gonna start with it
behind my back and I’m just going to
really whip it through space as I take a
big lunge out to the side so I want to
keep the shape of the band we’re gonna
be doing a transition move now to tone
our arms a little bit and mobilize the
spine this one’s called coil and uncoil
you’re gonna have a loose loop and then
we’re gonna come into bands down
position so just standing on to the band
little wider than hip distance and then
I’m gonna bend my knees coil my spine
and reach up into the band and then
inhale just get a nice chest stretch
this one’s called body rock so we’re
going to start in a nice neutral a long
spine I’m going to bend my elbows so I’m
rowing getting a bit of bicep work and
then I’m going to lengthen my legs up to
the sky getting a nice hamstring stretch
this is the part where we’re going to
work our core we’re going to come up in
balance in this nice V and then lower
with control continue to flex forward or
fold forward and working the back of the
arms so a little bit of a combination
but if you get it it starts to feel like
an ice floe we get a dynamic stretch for
the hamstrings and then some work for
the core and then again lengthening the
hamstrings and working triceps posterior
