this belgian comic book series got a big
screen makeover by none other than
Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson I’m
Tintin by the way Hunter hi I’m Rebecca
Braden and welcome to watchmojo.com and
today we’re speaking with the voice of
Tintin Jamie Bell the model ship
conceals a clue don’t have the greatest
secrets in all history so we want to
talk about what drew you to the
character of tainting he’s awesome I
grew up with them he’s a hero he’s a
kind of global icon and in a more than
anything I think he’s a very much a
beacon of excellence for children you
know I think that’s a great thing to
have in a Cineplex and to have as a big
movie experience you know we’re bringing
something back to life that started in
1929 so it’s a really big deal snowy
look at this it was long claimed the
ship was carrying a secret cargo let’s
talk about this the filming experience
for you I mean obviously working with
some huge names like Steven Spielberg
and Peter Jackson for example tell us
how this experience compared to others
that you’ve been when you’re entrusted
to to play you know such an iconic
character as Tintin and especially when
you’re chosen by these kinds of people
is very humbling you know you feel very
flattered I was in kind of shocking halt
when I first found out and then you know
our common language on the sevens very
much just Tintin you know and staying
very true and respectful of the spirit
of Tintin and bringing Hodges work to
life and I think that’s what we did
here well I think Jurassic Park was a
big influence yeah I first saw that when
I was eight as you can imagine that was
a pretty amazing experience for a kid in
a movie theater so I never forgot that
moment and very very very pleased with
the milestone of working with the you
know Steve observed thanks very much you
thank you very much thank you
