they’ve played huge venues as openers
for such rock veterans as ACDC the
Rolling Stones and the who
today we’re speaking with Irish rockers
the answer to learn more about the
pressures of playing with rock royalty
this fellow Club shua plan later on in
the bike ride it’s only 60,000 people
like whatever 16th is never our closest
friends now you guys have toured with
rock royalty such as ACDC the Rolling
Stones the who what have you learned
from these bands you can tell they
believe exactly what they’re doing you
can tell why but life is too long they
go up there and they believe in every
note and know how to perform and get an
audience going it’ll stand up the shoes
and avoid eye contact with the audience
Angus Young take turns and Mick Jagger
the charisma those guys still have on
stage and the love that they have for
what they’re doing just Shane’s three
gonna think as long as you’re still in
love with the music you can keep going
forever but if you’re not you know give
it up and learn the banjo or something
it’s opening for ac/dc a daunting spot
to fill because i think i’ve heard kind
of some horror stories about the opening
bands couple of days before we headed
off to New Yorker and our man told the
stories but buddy gay getting bottled
off in Germany and different audiences
that spend the entire gig holding their
concert tickets in the air as a saying
that the you know the one that’s for
time to get go off the stage you know we
stepped up on stage and we were pretty
nervous in fact before the show Brian
Johnson a commandment said place don’t
you worry I’m as nervous as you are just
get up and do your thing so that’s what
we did we get up and do it and we
realized you know people aren’t gonna be
throwing bottles at us here you know
we’re playing a kind of music that that
the ac/dc audience can can really get
their teeth into
it’s been unbelievable you know you’ve
walked off the stage feeling like I was
your own crowd of 70,000 people who’ve
just played in front of you no crowd
surfing and and people getting trilled
out of the audience I think we’ve been
quite lucky touch wood so far so good
