Interview with Singer Victoria Duffield

next star that sought to find Canada’s
best singer under age 15 while she
didn’t win she’s still impressing fans
with her singing and her dancing hi I’m

watchmojo.com and today we’re speaking
with Victoria Duffield at night there’s
something deep inside you wanna sit give
us an idea of your background and how
you first came to follow music as your
path yeah I started off just having a
passion for dance I mean I started when
I was too so I always worked very hard
at it I loved it so I knew I wanted to
do something in the entertainment
industry and started singing when I was
two with Broadway songs and then just
you know loving it and realizing that
dance was something I wanted to use with
my singing as a performer
yeah so what was it like being on a
reality show being on the next star was
a great I mean opportunity and
experience for me I mean a great
opportunity in the way that it gave me
you know national exposure and I was
able to you know accumulate so many fans
that I couldn’t have reached out to by
myself so great in that respect and such
an awesome stepping stone for my career
for sure how would you describe your
music to someone who’s never heard it I
would say my music is um you know pop
music dance music definitely a you know
a driving dance feed and something i
also want people to want to want to sing
along to
what would you say the inspiration is
behind your sound it depends on the
writing session if I’m coming you know
with an idea I thought iPad or it’s
amazing how just the smallest thing can
make you think of an idea that can just
build around a whole song so it you know
just different life experiences or
thoughts or ideas or sayings you can
then use to have different you know song
titles in there
how do you like to differentiate
yourself from other artists I think
something that definitely differentiates
myself for the artist is my dance
training lots of artists use backup
dancers to definitely you know fill out
their show but I think what makes me
different is just the amount of training
I’ve had so I’m able to you know keep up
with them and do all the fill up
choreography while I’m singing too
so I think that definitely you know sets
me apart or just makes me a bit
different from other performers out
there right now
