Goulding could you tell me how you got
into music and when you decided you
wanted to do this for a living I got
into music from a very young age I liked
a lot of dance music and electronic
music when I was very young like four
years five years old and my mom and my
uncle listened to it a lot so it was
kind of like just imprinted into my head
classical music I started getting into
quite young as well so I guess I was
quite mature with music from a young age
and then I guess I found out I could
make a living from it when I saw my
record deal until then you never know
how would you describe your sound my
sound is kind of a mix of electronic
music if you sick
dubstep R&B kind of everything you’d
think that that sounds like a deadly
combination but actually it kind of
works because at the end of the day it’s
kind of just pop music really what would
you say are the main ideas of the main
themes behind your debut album the two
main themes I would say we’re missing
home having a real connection with where
I grew up and also just like human
behavior and love and broken heart that
kind of thing but mainly yeah this this
connection I have with the outdoors in
countryside and where I grew up because
that’s like a big thing to me and I miss
it quite a lot
how would you describe one of your live
shows for someone who’s never been
completely different to the record much
better if anything it’s just we have so
much energy on the stage and have a
great band and the sounds is kind of
they’re kind of it’s at home as a live
show I just feel like it’s been a real
triumph to kind of translate it into a
live show I think that’s really worked
well and I’m really pleased with it
have you started working on new material
and you know sort of what direction
you’re gonna be going for that it’s
amazing how it really makes difference
who you work with and it makes it if
honestly it makes all the difference a
producer you work with them the other
day I feel like I just found someone
that I’ve suddenly I’m like clicked in
my brain that I want to work with this
person and I won’t say who it is but I
think it could be awesome if I if I end
up doing stuff with him so we’ll see
