Interview with Pro Snowboarder Hana Beaman

this female pro snowboarder is
considered a veteran of the sport hi my
name is Stephanie and welcome to
watchmojo.com and today we’re speaking
to Hannah Beeman what originally drew
you snowboarding I don’t know just the
fun factor it looked like such a good
time everybody having having a blast out
riding together you’re considered a
veteran of the biz I was owning how do
you keep up with all the young kids that
are coming up I don’t know I’m I just
try and I just try and go out there and
ride enough and have fun and just
continually try and push myself so I
don’t necessarily fall off but it’s
getting harder and harder that’s for
sure what is the biggest obstacle you’ve
had to face in snowboarding I think
myself is the biggest obstacle I have a
tendency to be really self-critical and
I think just kind of staying on my side
instead of always trying to fight myself
has been been my biggest biggest
opponent and then just injuries
how do you stay in shape during the
offseason I just try and stay active go
surfing and skating hiking like biking
around town and just as long as you’re
outside having fun tends to just keep
kind of keeping that snowboard mindframe
keep you young at heart and then in the
fall time will kind of buckle down a bit
and do some like actual training but
most of the time is just having of
having a good time staying active how do
you keep your passion for snowboarding
alive for me I just have to kind of
constantly reinvent what the different
types of riding mean to me like i go
through phases years ago i was in two
rails and then jumps and doing powder
and just constantly changing it up and
keeping it fresh you participated in a
movie called stance which featured an
all-female cast can you tell me about
that experience it was a real cool year
we had a group of rad girls at all got
together two of our friends Stan Evans
and Jeremy Miller decided to make a girl
Snowbird the all-around progressive
riding of women’s snowboarding and
turned out to be a really really cool
movie and and we all had a great time
doing it do you find it challenging to
be in a sport that’s mostly male
dominated it’s challenging only in the
ways that we have to push ourselves that
much harder because we’re always trying
to catch up to the guys you have to
challenge yourself and push yourself to
the levels that you want to be at but
besides that the guys are all so
supportive of us it’s nice to be able to
ride with a bunch of guys later like
your big brother thank you so much yeah
no prob thanks
