Interview with Gym Class Heroes

i’m here with gym class heroes introduce
yourself my name is Matt and I play the
drums in gym class heroes how’s going to
wrap it back at a class Rivlin chest so
when did you join up with the band I
joined up with the band when I was a
ripe 14 year old drummer I met our
singer Travis we had math class and gym
class together when I was a freshman in
high school goodbye yesterday’s rags no
hot bath you and you guys kind of
actually put a song together from you
know a dizzy I usually arranged all of
our stuff on the trumpet really not just
kidding I’m the name what hat is we’re
purple people passing meet the
caterpillars jatis you’re probably being
in the wrong right it’s definitely
evolved of the way in which we write
songs over the years it went from you
know I cupid’s chokehold we wrote in our
our old bass players bedroom with the
samples in with it
with this latest album we kind of I
guess brought little ideas to the table
and then when we were in the studio
built on those all together in a room we
want those bands that kind of dread it
going into the studio it’s a weird thing
to go for four or five months and like
really be like into your creative side
and then going out on tour for a year or
a year and a half that side of your
brain it seems like shuts down at least
for me and because all i do on tours
play video games and eat food so hot oh
mama father on the counter in the closet
so when you guys get on stage the energy
the crowd what’s that all about of
course it’s immediate gratification to
see you know your crowd like you know
going nuts the other day we had a we
were playing somewhere and there was
like must have been like a 55 or 60 year
old gentleman came floating through on a
you know all the kids like crowd surfing
through it was so sick I was like that
is easily the most geriatric dude I’ve
ever seen browser
so if you guys could tour of one band
right now would that be can it be
animated it could be anything you wanted
it would be a Dethklok then from the
show Metalocalypse gonna get some no be
an animated to her would be like
terrific which will be with well they
would have to be animated because that’s
the only platform which they exist on
but animate yourself uh I wouldn’t care
to know ha you’re probably thinking them
wrong right like I should quit writing
these songs right excellent man well
