Interview with actor Craig Olejnik

watchmojo.com and today we’re speaking
with actor craig alleged nick you’re
mistaken Oh sir I keep my records
accurate so why don’t we start by having
you tell us a bit more about yourself
but where you grew up and went to school
primarily Nova Scotia my father was in
the military so we moved around a bit
were you always interested in acting
when you were growing up I think
everyone is to some degree you know
playing wrestling and cops and robbers
and being sick so you don’t go to school
you know you really see it’s the first
time you see a tangible result of you
know of buying into your lie what’s
different about working in television
than working on the big-screen TVs in
tents on a film before you even begun
there’s a script that’s done you have a
beginning and an end
TVs just kind of going you’re kind of
living it and you’re shooting literally
two or three times more material like
pages of a script per day eight to ten
opposed to maybe two or three in a movie
let’s talk a little bit more about the
timekeeper why don’t you tell us a bit
about the premise there’s a young boy
that I play goes north and and joins the
league of men and you know slowly but
surely he though he remains true to
himself he he gets dragged down and has
to rise up again so a little bit of an
odyssey type film you got to be careful
around here who are they they’re bad
just like you or me there’s a lot going
on in that it’s a social comment it’s a
little bit of an adventure in action and
it’s drama it’s poetic yeah it has soul
and it has depth that just it’s kind of
a comment on the fact that high or low
that we all have a soul and we can speak
poetically and be foe ethically how did
you prepare for the role
I met with Louie I auditioned for it and
I came out here to Montreal met with him
he worked on pulling me in
to the right I like to call it POV and
my character has where he’s at how he
looks at the world so we worked on that
and then I guess he felt confident
enough that I was able to go where he
needs me to go do you have anything else
going on at the moment any pet projects
I think I’m going to be heading up to
the west coast Vancouver in Los Angeles
I’m kind of basing myself out of there
for a while just to shake it up how do
you handle the heartthrob thing dealing
quite well thank you I don’t I don’t
notice any of it I think it all exists
on the Internet and I don’t
I actually don’t spend any time is it
happening definitely a presence on the
Internet the heartthrob but you know
idea cool well thank you very much thank
you
