Interview: Maxim Lapierre of the Montréal Canadiens

hi I’m Rebecca Brayton and welcome to
watchmojo.com and today we’re speaking
with Montreal Canadiens forward maksimka
do you think that winning the jackpot on
trophy has put a little more pressure on
you for next year well I think I like
for sure it’s about time I have pressure
to play internationally every year I
come here and the people doesn’t expect
anything from me but the thing is it’s
nice to be on the other side now that
people expect me to have a great season
next year
that’s just great that’s why I play
hockey apparently you were injured at
the end of a year and obviously you’re
on crutches now what is it like to play
through the pain I’ll say with the
adrenaline and everything during the
game it’s alright it’s when you come
home laughter and that’s right to go to
bed it’s pretty painful but it’s alright
I got the surgery done I’ll be fine for
next year if you weren’t playing hockey
what would you begin think cup I like to
be a cup might be a drop step on yeah
that’s why
with all these debates 90 Stuart
everybody getting involved it is just
yeah I got a few friend that are are
doing that as a job in there I went with
them a couple days tried to catch on bad
boys and everything I think it’s great
obviously playing hockey in Montreal is
a unique experience in terms of media
pressure and that kind of thing how do
you think it compares to other
professions it’s different because we do
what we like to do I love playing hockey
and that’s what I’m doing and you just
have to forget that the pressure of the
media and everything I rather have
pressure with the media than doing
something that I don’t like are you
staying in shape in the offseason I was
supposed to start training June first
but now with the surgery and everything
I can I can do anything before I’ll just
so I’ll be late in my training well I’ll
be fine for the training camp
thank you very much
