these are the best-selling cookie of the
20th century hi I’m Rebecca Brayton and
welcome to watchmojo.com and today we’ll
be showing you how to make a chocolate
covered Oreo cookie cake this cake
should serve about 16 people for it
you’ll need one package of devil’s food
chocolate cake mix enough for two layers
four ounces of semi-sweet chocolate a
quarter cup of butter eight ounces of
softened cream cheese half a cup of
sugar 2 cups of thawed Cool Whip and of
course 12 coarsely crushed Oreos after
preheating your oven to 350 degrees
prepare the cake mix as directed on the
packaging and divide it into two 9-inch
round cake pans
meanwhile melt the butter and the
chocolate in the microwave until the
butter is completely melted which should
take about two minutes on high but be
careful not to burn the chocolate when
that’s done you can stir it to make sure
the chocolate is completely melted and
then let it stand for about five minutes
now in a large bowl beat the cream
cheese and sugar until it’s well blended
gently stirring the cool whip and the
Oreos
you’ll know your cakes are done when a
toothpick inserted into the center comes
out clean
once you’ve baked your cakes according
to the directions on the packaging you
can leave them to cool in the pans for
10 minutes and then when that’s done you
can invert them onto wire racks and
leave them to cool completely
to put the cake together place one layer
on a cake plate and then top it with the
cream cheese mixture then put the other
layer on top
finally pour the glaze on top and allow
us to stand until the topping is firm
if you like decorate the top with an
Oreo and as you can see the whole cake
itself looks like an Oreo cookie
