Guide to the Saxophone – Introduction

hi and welcome to watchmojo.com and
today we’ll be talking about the
saxophone so the saxophone is actually a
pretty young instrument because it was
only invented about a hundred fifty
years ago the patent came out in 1840
actually the inventor was a belgian man
by the name of adolf sack and he wanted
to combine the power of brass
instruments with geeez and technicality
of the woodwind instruments and he’d
woodwind instruments and the funny story
about this invention is that a dog sax
was a notoriously unfriendly in critical
inventor and he would always bash his
competitors and basically nobody wanted
to condone this and wanted to honor his
inventions so the saxophone was pretty
much relegated to military marching
bands for most of it’s younger part of
life until it was picked up by the jazz
musicians that really made it a
mainstream instrument and actually it
found its way into top music and all the
way to electronics and everything that’s
going today so still alive and well and
probably still have lots to show
