so I want you tell us a little boat
fusion this is a style that you use a
lot so what is fusion today a very
general term but I am part of a crew
called fanny pack and I’d say that’s the
best way to describe our style and sort
of my style that I really like to to
teach and learn these days it’s
basically a giant mix of hip hop
contemporary musical theatre modern jazz
anything that we can get our hands on
and trained in sort of these specific
styles and then mix it together to music
that inspires us musicality storytelling
are simple and basic dance moves that
you need to know before putting your
fusion pack together I think it’s really
important to learn all those styles
individually the fundamentals the basics
I trained in ballet tap and jazz those
are kind of that’s the way I started I
think it’s really important for
everybody to train not only at their
studios but at conventions and workshops
like this
how do you build a simple choreography
what does it start from for me
choreography wow I guess it depends
sometimes it starts with the music I’ll
hear a song and I’m just I got to create
something to this and other times it’ll
start with a feeling the way I’m feeling
that day I wake up and I’m just really
excited to be alive and just gotta move
or maybe I’m going through like a tough
time in my life and then i create in a
different way talk about movement what’s
the hot move right now that you need to
know like what’s hot right now towards a
move you know I love a good plie I’ve
always loved a plie which is basically
just bending your knees getting into the
floor choreography with the hands um
tutting is sort of where it started and
it’s basically intricacy and angles in
the in the hands and the arms you can do
so much with so little it’s just the you
know it’s just our hands but there’s a
million different moves right
